thats dumb, you cant pay out your avatar twice lol. If you lose who is going to get it 20 quid to charity for the same bet i'll go for it
I think Havertz will get more goals than Xhaka from the 8 position. Timber looks class and Rice is a consistent player that will put in 7/10 performances week in week out - that's an improvement to last year where our levels were quite sporadic in midfield. We also have ESR back in the fold and I expect more from Nelson this year too. Throw in a full pre season for Kiwior and we've probably seen the last of Holding too. Overall we are quite a lot stronger, IMO.
Seeing this drama for Caicedo between Liverpool and Chelsea makes me glad that we’re not part of this chaos and actually got our signings in relatively early.
Never understood why we left it so late in the past. The clubs with players to sell are in the driving seat as the season starts - and we are in that position now. We probably have 6-7 to offload. Crazy to leave signings so late. I know sometimes it's unavoidable, but very pleased we got our main signings done before the tour.
Plenty of midfielders who don't score 10 goals are considered world class or at least top class. Much more to the game we need him to play than scoring goals. That said - I expect him to get 15 across all comps and that would be a great return as long as his involvement in creating danger/chances is also there (which is more than just assist numbers).
To be fair - Haverts won't play as a striker. I reckon he'll help cover as a false 9 but will play mor games on the left and in attacking midfield positions.
If you guys want real cover for Jesus, we have a tubby Belgian going cheap? Spurs fans turned their noses up, but he is PL proven
Liverpool and chelsea defences look suspect. Spurs looked very average. Newcastle looked good ( although Villa were appalling)
In fairness one of our CBs went off injured after 11 mins and two defenders were making their debut. Was surprised by your second half tbh...looked very nervous against a very average forest side.
We did look a bit shaky but i think only after their breakaway goal made it 2-1 late. Before that we looked quite comfortable but failed to finish it off.
Not sure where to put this, but it’s newsworthy. Mike Dean had admitted he decided NOT to refer a VAR call to the on field ref for a decision he knew was stupid because he didn’t want to embarrass the ref , Antony Taylor. This is the PGMOL closed shop secretive old buddies, mainly in the North, network at play. It’s unbelievable. If this can happen then any kind of bias can pollute VAR. Not sure just how big of an issue Dean realises this is for him to just come out and say it publicly.
I saw the comments too and couldn't ****ing believe it. That's basically admitting to corruption and prioritising the boys' club over doing the right thing. Unsurprisingly, the PGMOL tried to distance themselves from Mike Dean's comments, but they said a whole bunch of nothing:
Not sure if anyone is overly bothered, but in the Carabao Cup 4th round, we've been drawn against Brentford away. Not the best tie, will be a tricky game, but could have been worse I guess. Would have liked to have gone away to a lower league side. Meh. It is what it is.
