Yeah this is what I think will happen. Will stay at Bayern 2/3 years and then return to PL. Playing for one of the biggest clubs in world football with a shot of winning the European Cup must be incredibly appealing.
incredibly, could still be more twists. This guy is an insider at Chelsea, normally spot on with the inner workings
Shame, but can understand why he wants to showcase himself in the PL, even if Sheff drop in 12 months
I just want us to sign someone. Anyone. We have Jo Lumley and right now I would take Jennifer Saunders!
I really wish this was the cricket thread where Tom is happy to have Wheal back. If he was playing well, I could jump in with: Wheal’s on fire!
This is getting out of hand I have only watched a few Brighton games last season… is he really that good? How much better than Lavia is this kid?
It is classic Klopp. Loves to moan how poor Liverpool can't compete with the big money clubs whilst regularly smashing out massive transfers for players.
Doubling the value is not a direct reflection on what you get performance wise, much like anything. Does a Ferrari go 25 times faster than the average family saloon? Getting an extra 10% out of a player & with consistency can make a massive difference to their value, Was Gillingham’s squad higher than Saints on Tuesday, we are a case in point of too much mediocrity,
Not a great comparison though. In this case you’d be asking “is a Ferrari worth twice the price of a Porsche? If we buy the Porsche, we could also renovate the leaky guttering at the back too”
I would look at it like this ... In the next couple of seasons, does Caicedo make enough of a difference to Liverpool to bring the success (trophies, prize money) that warrants the additional £60m outlay over Lavia? Evidently it's not all about 1 player but that's how I see it. I doubt he would make enough of a difference but only time will tell. They would certainly look back and say that the outlay on VVD was worth it. I very much doubt they'd have won the league without him.
