He's a big lump. He's always looked pretty solid to me. Not seen too much of him if I'm honest though.
Spot on Doc. Wait and judge with our own eyes. If he didn’t come from Spurs no one would be filling socks over him. Remember England youth international Matthew Pennington from Everton everyone was excited about… last I heard he was at Shrewsbury. All those Chelsea PL loans we’ve had. How many have set the world on fire? He’s 25, he has pedigree, but his career has completely stalled. It’s why he’s here. Hopefully it’s his level and/or we reignite him and he does great. But for every time that happens there’s at least one other where it doesn’t. I’m fine with it because it’s a loan and fairly low risk with good potential upside, just trying to put some perspective.
My judgement is based in seeing him play for Wales as yet to see him play a League match. Now who Wales were playing I've no recollection but hopefully it wasn't the Faroe Islands or San Marino. Good player and should do well for us.
If you visit the Swansea forum and enter Rodon in the search bar and search their forum, they certainly thought highly of him whilst he was there. Farke wanted him, he wanted to join and he’s going to be more use than Cooper at the moment. Good enough for me too mate joe_rodon ® Amazing feeling to join this iconic football club. Can't wait to meet the boys and play for the fans at Elland Road! @Lufc #MOT O
but what if Swansea fans are only as knowledgable as Leeds fans? seriously, he was rated, don’t think anyone is disputing that. He’s not cut the mustard at PL level though and failed in France. Maybe it’s a levels thing and he’ll shine again at this level. Maybe it was confidence. Maybe he’s done a Dele Ali. I’ll judge what I see.
Cheers Ristac. I'm a Leeds Utd supporter, not a football supporter, so I dont really bother with other clubs.
We’re not in the PL though and he can go back at the end of the year. As long as he’s good enough this season that’ll do nicely. Some fans just want to be miserable for the sake of it (or they just love disagreeing). We sell players who took us down they moan we have no depth, you buy someone proven at this level they’re not happy. If we had your mate Jesse in charge I’d be concerned, we’ve a proper coach now though so if he wants Rodon for the bigger picture I’m confident he’ll be fine.
If you read the posts rather than just rolling out your usual cheap Jesse fanboy quips you’ll see I said I’m happy enough with the signing just providing a note of caution
At least you seem to do well on getting tickets Farke's press conference (Birmingham) is free to watch by the way.
Who says you can’t make money out of football Brighton seem to be having a good go after extracted 100million out of skint Liverpool
Unbelievable, Klopp said they couldn’t afford a Ferrari when offered Bellingham, but spent as much on a maybe going to be good player.
Fair play to the likes of Brighton and Southampton for playing hardball when it comes to selling their players. Unlike us.
Maybe problem is that each **** owner we have seems to select the next one and they're invariably as ****. Bates got gfh who led to Cellino who brought razz in who then Brough 49ers in. There's a pattern don't you think
I don’t think Radz was a bad owner, we were promoted thanks to his help. His over reliance on Orta, a loose cannon, was his biggest error of judgment.
