West Ham signing Maguire and Ward Prowse seems a bit...weird. Don't see how either player improves them.
Even worse if City do swoop for Paqueta too. Amazed they're paying £30m for Maguire though, his stock is at rock bottom, fair play to Utd I guess for getting as much as they are, gives me a little hope we could get some semi-decent fees for our deadwood. Ward-Prowse on freekicks alone is probably worth paying £20m for to be fair, will get you anything from 6-12 points a season which could be huge for West Ham this season. I'm just glad we've stayed well away from Maguire, pre-Ange there probably would've been a legitimate amount of interest from us, would've been this summer's Richarlison.
His free kicks did bugger all for Soton in the end though. There's a reason no bigger club ever swooped for him and why only West Ham were in for him now. Ultimate stat padder whose end of season YouTube comps make him look like Roberto Carlos but in reality he is a passenger throughout most games.
Disagree Maguire suits west ham down to a T. He's a big oaf who can't run back but for west ham who like to sit deep he's perfect for them imo. That coupled with set piece threats is good for west ham. A little overpriced but both clubs will be happy. As for ward prowse, not outstanding but he's a solid mid table player so he will serve them well, if just for depth after they've lost rice. At the very least he's set pieces again will serve west ham well
Not sure if any of you guys have see the latest Fan Debate on 'The Overlap', but Gary Neville admits that Kane tried to engineer a move away from Spurs by doing that video with him on the golf course 2 years ago. I know most of you probably already knew this, but I didn't think Neville would casually broadcast to a public platform that he was tapping Kane up. Go to minute 33:15. This is ****ing insane that Neville has admitted this and has, by extension, exposed his/Sky's role as an accomplice in attempting to facilitate his move away. Surely, there has to be some punishment for this? I know I'm a Gooner and whatnot, but I'd be livid if this was one of my players and this information came to light.
By the standards of the Toon owners, applying the word "murderer" to Alonso may seem somewhat lightweight.
Sky Sports provides the coverage. Sky Bet provides the odds. Sky Pundits provide the insider trading. Seems perfectly Halal.
