My first thought was he's by 2000 Gns winner so 7-8f shouldn't be a problem. But on looking at the pedigree, Saxon Warrior was sired by Deep Impact, a top class stayer (and sire) and from the Nashwan family and the dam of SW, Maybe, ran well in the Oaks and is by Galileo. So plenty of stamina on that side. SW himself was a decent middle class colt as well (which I had forgotten). The dam side of Change Sings tends more towards sprint, but up to 8f

Interestingly, recent first time out winner Drumroll is out of Maybe by Deep Impact and won over 8f in heavy

Unplaced and interesting now changed stables to Eve Johnson Houghton, also been gelded

Runs tonight at Salisbury [6.45]....currently 5-1

 

Big drifter [10-1] and ran 4th after leading, might need a drop in trip
