We were scheduled to be at home to Watford but asked to play at their place as our pitch isn't ready. Watford agreed and the FA allowed it.
Thank you both, I wasn't aware of that, so as in many things it seems club didn't get our act together on time, thus missing out on a home fixture, not sure on present form if it would have made much of a difference, but possibly with the crowd support behind us and perhaps not conceding a 1st min goal, oh well.
We should have been home to Watford for The1st game, but as a new pitch was bee We should have played Watford at home for our 1st game, but as our pitch wasn't ready in time, Watford agreed to change fixtures.
I know it would be ridiculous after 2 games but could a heavy defeat be the end for GA? Fans are already in hostile meltdown, there would be open revolt if we put in another abject display wouldn't there?
If we put in a well-organised, united, fighting performance, beaten by the better team, he might survive - but if it's headless chickens again, fans will surely start looking at management
He should have gone after Saturday. Team and tactics were terrible and we had similar when he came in last season. No sign of us playing football with GA or even trying to shut out Watford.
Coming from you Ossie that’s about the most damning assessment I’ve seen on this board. I don’t disagree.
Interesting his big success at Forest was in the middle of a three. He’s very much in the Hill/Nelsen mold. My 5-2-1-2 dream of seven defensive players and hoping Chair can do something or we can lump it to Dykes and Sinclair to do something could come alive.
If we are to survive, it might be the only way. A mixture of ugly draws and snatched wins. Warburton got a bum deal.
I want a 1-0 away win with 8% possession, Dozzell completing zero passes and Begovic making 15 saves. Agree about Warbles. We were onto something quite good then shat the bed signing Johansen and Austin on money we didn’t have.
Question without notice… been trying to get onto the app to buy tickets for my son and I, but it keeps crashing. Are tix still available? This is the only game I can get to on this visit
Yeah. I find the website on a laptop works better. Alternatively give them a call before 2 as Saints tickets go on sale then and it’ll be busier.
A report in West London Sport says Ainsworth is preparing to change styles once Cook and Colback are available, to play more possession style football to get the best out of Chair and Willock. Probably a load of bull, but if true, he's just flailing around attempting to be a coach isn't he? I prefer the ball playing approach, but presumably he's been coaching something different all preseason? Clueless.
Yes, I suspect it's the way they would have chosen to play, had the gaffer not gone off on a tangent of his own
