That may well change when we see the media pictures of him in WHam shirt, and for sure the first time he lines up and scores a FK for them (and presumably breaks the PL record)

I would expect we would only allow a couple of those other prime assets go else it's a wholesale rebuild and that will almost certainly ensure another season of Championship football after this one.

Wish we could have kept you (and would have preferred that you went to Brighton rather than the Hammers, and that we got the full amount you were worth), but you've been a loyal servant to the club and have earnt your move.

We would be a better side if he played on Saturday. I don't want him here for a cameo and wasting a sub place, though.

I will look back on all of them fondly; but they are not Southampton legends.

Fonte is still a legend imo; he was a huge part in our rise from League One to Europe
