Booing players does, certainly.

Especially if Ingram is getting booed and everyoe in front of him is copping out just and just standing on a man and letting him take it.

If I'd been him today I'd have be ripping up the dressing room after that.

They've hung their keeper out to dry last night. Gaffer also.

I agree. The booing should never happen. I’d never boo. Ingram got the brunt of it but his passing options were non-existent against a Donny team who man-marked us. Not a single outfield player made any movements to pull their players out of position to create space.

Mate, I've just had to put a 7kg load of underwear on the boilwash literally soiled since 8:30.

Hope we get good drying weather tomorrow.
Your underwear will have gone foisty by then.

I really enjoy watching possession-based teams. It’s satisfying to watch a team patiently build up and create chances. Brighton, Man City and even Burnley last year play some really nice football that has them scoring goals being generally solid at the back too.

I just think the City job has come too fast and too soon for Rosenior. Like I said, probably needed a couple more years as an assistant to someone experienced who also played that style of football.
I think his ego is beyond his actual coaching ability. Theoretically speaking we’d be a great side but clearly the players cannot pick up what he wants.

He was talking about how he’ll rectify it but this is how he wants them to play and he’s just had 2 months to teach them and they still look like ****ing lost!

We’re 2 games into the season, it’s a process. Arsenal fans wanted Arteta out in his first year, chage doesn’t just happen overnight. Coincidentally they started to improve once he got his players in and could properly implement his style.

As fans we’re making Liams job 10x harder
We are in the championship you can’t just replace everyone who doesn’t suit your style.

Every player involved tonight didn’t look like they suited his “style” and we aren’t Arsenal

We made 8 changes tonight, in a months time only 3/4 of those players will be regular starters I suspect.

It was ****, there’s no getting away from that. But at least wait until the window is finished before wanting the manager out

I don’t think it’d be fair to sack him, but the warning signs are clear. The team looked less lost last season, they just couldn’t defend. Today they had absolutely no clue what was going on, no movement, no patterns of play. Pre season started beginning of July and on 2 occasions now we’ve looked less fit and sharp against sides from 2 different divisions.

I went to Bradford last year and that was just as bad, whilst probably having a stronger team out. We ran 5km more against Norwich than we did in any game last year, so not sure we’re less fit.

Every club in the championship thinks they’re a project now. We seemingly have entirely blind faith in 3 unproven individuals to deliver ours. Rosenior did well after coming in, to stop the rot. Now he’s had a summer to implement his style and we now look the worst we have done under him, you’d have thought we’d have seen a reaction tonight after Saturday but no it got worse!

Not saying we are less fit, saying our opposition have looked fitter and sharper.

There's no question that side should have beat Donny today

It's not like Grunt is ****ing Wenger now is it?

If its attitude by all means scold the players.

If its buy in and understanding, then Liam needs to analyse himself perhaps more than his philosophy.

If you can't take players with you then you're not much of a coach, when all's said and done.

I've said this before, Ingram when that happens should just quickly go long, do that 3 or 4 times, then the opposition would have to change their tactics, then you can start playing out from the back if the situation allows. But just blindly doing the same thing is just crazy.

It certainly sounds as if I didn't miss anything, not watching it. Over the years I have seen many of these types of performances in these early cup games, and generally they do not have a bearing on how the season will develop league wise.

I also feel incredibly lucky to have missed it after reading this thread.

I think the big question is, why have we started messing around at the back and using the goalkeeper every time again? We saw that this led to problems last season, we eradicated it and then quickly improved. If it had continued, we’d have gone down.

It also causes the supporters to be on edge, which causes the players to be on edge. How has it crept back in?!

I agree, last season we learnt to go long when it was not possible to go short, they needed to do the same last night, mix up the tactics as doing the same thing over and over again just plays into your opponent's hands and is too predictable.

Another point I’d like to make (which I realise I’m in a lucky position to be in having not had to witness and go through the emotions of the game), is that it’s a competition I’d always rather us be out of anyway.

Things can turn around very quickly in football. I am confident we have a good squad to challenge for play-offs. Two games are not going to change my view on that. I believe the team will see the error of their ways and kick on (pun intended).

I realise I might be the only one who feels this way. UTT.
