I find that a little strange. I know long season and all that. I would have gone strong tonight, got the game one and get the cannon ball running down the hill. This competition gives a real chance to all teams.

What about honing match fitness, getting the new team gelling. Not going g to throw my toys, but not the way I would go, just dents the confidence of the second string for when we need them
I agree with your second sense totally. But I think we should embrace a cup run, it makes you dream, particularly if we are sat in grim 14th come January
