He was Hartlepool last season and couldn't get a game there so we brought him back. Might as well just see if we can release him if he's not showing anything here
That's what I thought. It's a bizarre one. I know he's been through an absolutely horrendous time personally so I understand us not wanting to release him on a human level. But it feels like he's wasting a squad place (which is horrible to say and I apologise if any of his family read this!!)
You have a point we just don't get players in the box. Dominating possession in the middle third but no cutting edge with final ball in the final third. Still time to win it yet mind.
Poor early season form can have a real knock on for momentum as well. And I'm more concerned if morale drops and the mood drops, its going to be so much harder to convince the likes of Clarke that this is the place for him to be if he has EPL clubs coming in for him. Likewise will be harder to convince EPL loans that we are a better bet. People have short memories in football.
Does not help our younger players when they are brought in to a team of poorly coached mis-fits, ie a player who has always been a central defender brought in to make his debut in the full back position with a defence that looks like they have never met let alone played together, No leadership so reminiscent of the start last season tbh.
Playing a L2 side and we’re playing with 5 at the back on top of having no striker in the matchday squad. Even I didn’t think we’d be this ****e, £50 down the drain
Might as well make a load of changes here. Ekwah on, Dack on, Roberts on, ONien on. Need to find something somehow.
Just a thought but I wonder if the uncertainty from the end of last season is still on TM's mind with the club being linked to other coaches
No I really doubt that. But I do think he's frustrated at the lack of senior signings. Which he admits himself he was told to expect. I think what you see is what you get with Tony
People may not want to hear this but I am still certain the ownership tested the water and when the fans absolutely showed support, they backed down.
The club shouldn’t be making changes on the back of what the supporters think. I said at the end of last season if there’s better than Mowbray, go and get them.
Now Ba booked for kicking the ball away ffs How petulant are we becoming? This is insane. Especially after Hume on Sunday
So putting yours and @Southern A 's responses together, maybe they didn't give Mowbray the experienced players he thinks we need to see if the crowd turns....?
