In terms of how we are getting on, actually very well, in pre-season though, which you can never rely on as a barometer once the season proper starts.
Last season our problem was goals, we actually had like the 4th or 5th best defensive record, but couldn't score for toffee!
In pre season, Jackson and Nkunku have looked really good, both have been scoring, so its a blow for us that Nkunku will now miss the start of the season, and we wont be seeing him this side of December I dont think, which is good for you guys.
Where we are light is in midfield. We have lost Kovacic, Kante and Mount and are desperate need of at least 2 CM's really.
Like someone else said earlier, Klopp's best bet is to overload our midfield, where as ours will be to pressure your back line and get Jackson in behind.
We have midfielders who can pass, but we dont have anyone who can win the ball or slow down play.
Of course if we sign Caicedo in the next 48 hours that may change things, but the way thats been dragging on.......I aint counting on nothing.

    My prediction is also 2-2.

Given the midfiekd issues seems even more mental selling mount to United. Surely chelsea are a better team with him in CM even though had a poor season last year? Also be cheaper to have given him the increase in wage he wanted compared to having to guy buy Tyler adams for 20m and give him 100k a week surely

Mount is the only player we sold this window that I didnt want to see leave.
He was dicked about by the board. He has been with us since he was 7, was on 70k a week and won the champions league with us, yet was seeing players like Cucurella and Fofana, who had won **** all, come in from lower clubs like Brighton and Leicester, and getting 150k a week plus and was understandably pissed.
Our board should have rectified it straight away, but they ****ed around and strung him along and he had just had enough in the end, cant blame him really.
Our owner is a ****ing bell end.

Klopp seems to have been experimenting with Gakpo in midfield a bit too... we might see him there instead of Jones... maybe. Jones looks the least senior player in that line-up, but he's not a liability.

We haven't seen him in the 6 role competitively yet though - or will A Mac be doing the 6 role do you reckon?

I'm expecting Mac in the 6 until we sign a CDM.

:bandit: I might have just dropped it... I might be in the process of something... I was Potato Milk a few weeks ago and before then I was hiding the "Milk" identifier. I'm subtly transforming back into "Milk". :bandit:

Maybe the poll should have been a sweepstake type approach; how many injury time minutes will be added to the end of the game? <laugh>

Think I’d feel much more comfortable mac doing that role compared to Jones. Not ideal but much better in the tackle and more defensive awareness.

from what we have seen thus far klopp wants macallister advanced. I don't think he has anyone to play 6 so may put him there but it's not his Intent.

same story for diaz or jota or gakpo. it's hard to know who he wants where.

I do think we've got the point on nunez now. he's not klopps man. he's wards and he will be on the bench.

Going with the 3223 suggestion... Do we need dedicated ball winners in there? Having five filling the space with three good ball winners in the CB positions to sweep would be enough cover. This allows the two deeper midfielders to play
