My guess is £5 million on Kamara and £12 million on Hamer and that takes us up to £17 million of the Adams money.
I think if Adams stays we have Adams and Ampadu and Kamara would be wasted money, he’d add competition but we need to be signing starting 11s Kamara seems to be our emergency plan, I feel the board were hoping Adams injury would mean no interest
Top Euro side AZ Alkmar Greek CB looks like being a done deal for around £3m. Seems to be a fairly good player and proven international. YEP now talking it up “Sources in Europe have told the YEP that negotiations are underway between the two clubs but a deal is yet to be agreed. Sportime report a 2.5 million Euro (£2.2 million) bid has been tabled for the defender’s services, who is into the final 12 months of his contract in Holland.”
Gessa are you hearing anything on Joffy? Wednesday could be his last game as Farke doesn’t fancy him so he’s off ??
No mate, not heard anything at all for 2 weeks now, all the info as dried up. I used to get any team news the night before and 99% of the time it was correct, Saturday night, not a peep.
Not saying this isn’t real but, Doc, not like you to not hammer the Lazy journo’s for the obvious mistake…. Following the departure of Max Wober Leeds are looking for a right sided Centre Back to sure up Daniel Farke defence…..
With Coops now crocked we need left and right though. Although must admit Cresswell looked decent yesterday, still no real pace but maturing nicely.
I was just smiling at the authenticated YEP story explaining why we are after a right sided defender to replace the left sided Wober. Otherwise, totally agree mate, we need about twenty new players, new owners and a new stadium or we are doomed I tell you
Marcos I usually ignore this stuff right up to the point where the story gets legs, and today when Phil Hay said he hadn’t heard anything about this so not sure it will happen but seems that conversations have been had for sure
Let's be honest, Jammy, Cresswel had **** all to do defensively. Can't judge him on defending as he hasn't really done any yet. He looked at ease when he did have bits & bobs to do, but was never really threatened. Attacking, he was very bullish, but that really worried me, as we played most of the match with only the 2 CBs staying back. Can't remember anyone dropping back to cover for him when he did go on his many forays up the right (but I may be remembering what I want to remember. Old age.).
All correct WJ but at least he was trying to influence the game and showing the team we had to get on the front foot.
I come across as a Cresswell fan but I'm more a fan of aggressive defenders who enjoy defending. Cresswell is that guy at Leeds. Struijk is too quiet, too stand offish for me. Cresswell goes for every header like his life depends on it and I love that. It's infectious too and others will get hooked along with him. He's very loud and vocal and is a good communicator. He's young, he'll make mistakes, he'll learn and he might not be good enough to step up to the PL but in the here and now I'd pick him at the heart of defence every week. He'll bleed for that shirt and boy do we need that at the moment.
Something I didn’t see mentioned earlier, we scored from a set piece. After some terrible corners we changed the taker and it reaped rewards. Cresswell at 6’ 3” will pose a threat and at least draw players to him He also looks like he should be playing for the rhinos
