Well we are back to wait and see them kick a ball again. Sounds decent. Come on Lyndie where is Azaz. First he's here then he isn't then we are about to sign him and then we aren't. I want us to sign him so get the finger removed and make it happen for god sake. Pasoti have enough pages on it to qualify now.......

I've shamelessly nicked this table from Adam Price on the Argyle Life website but I thought it gives an important perspective on where our squad stands at present.

This is as he says consistent with a desire to have a young squad with the potential to improve and perhaps yield transfer profits in later years. Note particularly the contrast between Argyle and fellow promotion team Sheffield Wednesday!

You win nowt playing kids........Alan Hanson I think on match of the day. Well what does he know because we did last season. Youngsters make mistakes it's true but as a watch I would much prefer to accept that and see enthusiastic unafraid play on the pitch than boring stereo typical stuff from older players.

Horses for courses isn’t it? We rightly won’t permit ourselves to pay prices that might risk the viability of the club and we can’t compete with parachute payments anyway.

So the management are backing their own judgement and looking for potential others overlook. They’ve done OK so far so we need to back then again. It’s a big task and it might go horribly wrong but it won’t be from lack of effort on their part.

Younger players that we own...have the potential to gain in value as they gain experience and get older....which gives us the possibility of them being sold on at a profit.

Morgan Whittaker and Bali Mumba might of cost us a total of £2 million....but they have 4 year contracts.....and if they grow into possible Premier quality players and move on we will surely make a profit on them.

It's all about the players we buy having a possible future beyond Argyle and bringing wealth into the club.....we could be moving into a stage in the clubs growth where we are not just dealing with freebies and loan players.

Even Julio Pleguezuelo we're told has class and can be a clever bit of business.... that could bring benefits on the field and later when Premier clubs take note becoming financially an asset for Argyle as we try to climb the ladder of success.

Some clubs splash the cash and hope that they get success and help themselves out of the financial mire that they are presently in.....on the other hand Argyle are try to get success by living within their budget.....and that of course needs shrewd management and a fair amount of luck.

We have in the past dabbled with quality players who have a poor fitness record and that we can afford....hoping that they stay fit long enough to be of benefit....I'm thinking of players such as Brendan Galloway, James Bolton, Mickel Miller ?...and we can all think of others that we have risked having in the past......Bolton we have let go and I hope he does well at his new club in Scotland.

Steven Schumacher has admitted that he needs another forward and another attacking mid-fielder and hopefully he might be able to address that this week.

He is also concerned about a left back because neither Gillesphey or Galloway have been fit enough to play any pre-season football.

Also another central defender would be useful.

Twitter are saying that Wolves are going to send their 21yr old mid-fielder Luke Cundle out on loan......and the word is to Argyle.

Cundle played 32 games on loan last season at Swansea....32 appearances and 3 goals.

Has 4 appearances in the EPL, including at least 1 start, away to Spurs, as well as 31 for Swansea in the Championship. Decent signing!

I think that Spurs game away was a 2-0 win.

We will see how decent when he kicks a ball for us. Usual applies to newbies but I also will add that I trust our people to know what they are doing (except lyndie who as club secretary sits around in his short skirt looking aluring). (well thats what somebody told me anyway).

So Steven Schumacher's sort after striker isn't Harry Kane who has moved to Bayern Munich.

Alan Shearer must be smiling now that his goal total record isn't being threatened anymore by Kane.

Do you know what, I don't really care if Kane signs for outer *****lia or outer space. He ain't one of our's and never will be so I have little interest. When he dons and England shirt then it changes but not before or after. Around £100m for one player.........I despair.
