That's a frankly ludicrous comment. We don't, we have had little episodes like the busby babes, Munich and being the first English team to win a european cup to remind of such things you see. Not only that, all he said was he thinks Ronaldo is the best player to have played in the premiership. The word ever was not mentioned. Here's one for you, why do scousers think they are the only club with any history?
NEITHER DO I IT'S JUST THAT WHEN RONALDO IS MENTIONED YOU SAY IS HE THE BEST PLAYER TO PLAY IN THE PREMIERSHIP - THE SAME QUESTION IS NOT ASKED WHO IS THE BEST PLAYER TO PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - MANCS JUST SEPARATE THE OLD NAME AND NEW NAME AS IF THEY ARE DIFFERENT COMPETITIONS
I thought all mancs consider rooney to be the white pele - if that is the case he must be the best player to ever play in the premiership as no other player in the premiership has come close to pele - or maybe rooney isn't that good after all
Think you need to take a deep breath and count to ten there Would you rather he put "Ronaldo is the best player to play in the top division of English football since August 1992"? Saying "Premiership" is just a simpler way of making the same comparison. And there have been numerous articles asking who the best player in Champions League history is - they just generally don't end up on this board as only five or six of the top 50 CL players have ever played for a British team. And Ronaldo and Henry are probably the only former PL players with a chance of making the top ten. No sensible Utd fan has ever called Rooney the white Pele. All that has been said about him is that he plays with a similar style to Pele. That's like Liverpool fans saying Carroll plays with a similar style to Shearer. That is true, but it in no way makes Carroll the long haired Alan Shearer.
the only comparison that can be made between rooney and pele is that they are both follicly challenged - rooney can only dream of playing in the same style as pele ps. how can you put sensible and man u fan in the same sentence
all he has to say is ronaldo is the best player to have played in the english league - there it wasn't too hard was it
But he hasn't said that. He says Premiership, therefore he means since August 1992. I know it's a difficult concept for Liverpool fans to understand, after all the Premiership years haven't been the happiest times for your lot so it's understandable that you have trouble with the concept
you started it with the counting to ten/deep breath nonsense - seems i am only entitled to an opinion if you agree with it
Sweeping generalisation after sweeping generalisation after sweeping generalisation. All of them total bollocks.
if the premiership had not started in august 1992 and was still called the first division, would he put forward the arguement that ronaldo was the best player in england since august 1992 - i don't think so but you never know with mancs
