We’ve had five seasons of awful defending and numerous coaches but no improvement. Good to hear Darke after game saying he wanted to strengthen every position except keeper. And isn’t it great to have a feel good factor after a Leeds game. At least those guys gave their all out there today and that was a pleasant change. Love the championship
The defence won’t improve under Farke unless the personnel change. His sides play good football but aren’t built on a strong defence.
A team not as good as last seasons prem team went 0-2 down to a pub team and we are supposed to be going for promotion. Sorry guys but we were shyte at the back and couldn’t defend simple Sunday league attacks. 2 attacks 2 goals ffs. Hjelde not good enough, Cooper way too old, Ayling ok going forward but Shyte defending, Struijk just fook off home. Agree with all that but who said we’re going for promotion. Without knowing our personnel in a month nobody can make any valid predictions. However if we don’t add substantially to what we have that’s a mid table outfit we have at best
Defence looked better with Byram and Cresswell. Ayling needs to be replaced with a younger quicker more athletic player and fortunately we already have one. Patience Doc as Farke will sort it all out.
Jammy and a few more keep saying we are too good for this league even with the existing squad. Today we all saw the truth, a Cardiff team who have been banned from doing transfer deals for 3 seasons and have fought relegation from the championship for 5 years scored 2 goals against us at ER…… our defending is shyte so as it stands now please tell me which teams who are not relegation fodder we should beat and win the league.
