Weve played well so far, just need to move it quicker in the final 3rd. Hemir needs to move a bit more when the ball is in the final 3rd Jobe been class, great positional play and work rate has been class Neil picking up some great positions but his final ball has been poor Our set pieces are shocking
good summary genuinely it feels mental and it might be the beer but I’ve been really pleased with us.
Hes not been anonymous, getting on the ball in some great positions but is lacking a final ball at the min His pressing has been really good, him jobe n ekwah are stopping them controlling the game
Takes time to settle new players into the squad and get that connection. Ipswich are similar to us last year, similar team to the season before so the natural flow throughout the team is there for all to see
What were folks opinion on the pen? I thought it was one as he gets in front of him but not sure if ive got my red n white glasses on
I was nervous as anything before the match but I’m not now. I know that sounds mental but I’ve seen enough to know I’m happy with how things are shaping up
Pretty decent half and hit by ex-player as usual. Bellingham looked assured with some lovely touches and making the smart pass under pressure, excellent for me. Roberts impressive too but they are on him quickly and in numbers. Ekwah looks like he’s been doing it for 10 years always looks under control. Onien great clearance and also able to pop up at the other end with quality ball into box. Should have had a penalty. Commentators full of **** as usual but it was 100% penalty for me.
one of those 50/50 for me. Could have been given but would probably be pissed off if given against us. Mind you if it was against us I’d be blaming the defender as much as the ref
Got the makings of a very very good team with Ekwah sitting deeper think Neil needs to up his game not playing bad but he’s getting in some great positions just final ball not great
Mate if I thought there was something there that he could do something special, then I would hold my hand up.
He does make me nervous when I see him at times. Is that because he looks clumsy or maybe he puts himself in riskier/braver positions that others wouldn't? I'm no expert so just postulating.
It was a pen. The defender was too slow and instead of going shoulder to shoulder with Clarke, he clumsily shoved him in the back.
If we could only have in the second half the 'denied a blatant goal or penalty by a mind numbingly atrocious decision by the referee or linesman' and we will have the full house.
