It’s not Sunderland if it’s “not for the entire percentage of the player”. English clubs have to buy 100% of a players registration.

 

it’s common, or at least used to be, in Italy, for clubs to Co-own players.

So if you buy 70% of the player, it means that whoever buys that player from you needs to negotiate with both clubs to buy their share of the player.

It allows / allowed bigger clubs to keep ownership of players and either bring them back or cash in on them later.

I THINK it got outlawed but not sure.

it could just be that this journalist is saying that whoever is offering 8m is also offering a sell on clause (which in essence is similar).

That sounds like a lot for someone as obscure as him. If we were willing to pay anything like that I'd say that we were pretty sure we had the next Aguero on our hands.

 

Can’t see us spending €8m on anyone to be honest, particularly a player unproven in the UK/Europe.

Hope we’re not really, massive risk and totally against the model we’re operating under.

We certainly haven't offered owt for a % of the player, part ownership allowed in some leagues but not over here.
