This is the challenge for this season. Every game might not be quite as bad as this one, but you can’t guarantee that. So how to enjoy it and not feel the ST was throwing money away? And at the same time still have a functioning liver come next May. I am determined to find a way, and be the ‘best version’ of a fan that I can be. Wish me luck.
Heard he was on way more than that. Thing about Gareth is fight and team spirit may get you somewhere in L1 but in this league you need more than that. Should have gone for someone who knows their way round the championship.
My point is we haven't replaced them ! The players that have come in aren't Championship level, and haven't cost a penny. Ainsworth is almost certainly gonna have wanted to bring in players he wanted to try and play to whatever system he intends to play, but hasn't been given a penny to bring them in. Warburton had trouble with the board when they refused to sanction a transfer he desperately wanted when we were in the mix for the top 6 and we know how that ended. The snake left unceremoniously when we were right up there, yes to go to Rangers , but maybe he knew we weren't gonna spend a penny to strengthen our chances. Things had started to turn grim before he left, and the players on that pitch were far better than most of these. The players are ****, we keep saying Chair or Field are good players but how often do they dictate and win games ? The rest are just hopeless, and if we can't spend anything to replace them, what can anyone do to stave off the inevitable ?
