Yes, we don't have to name our 25 man squad until after the window has closed so he's perfectly free to play and wouldn't mean we'd have to name him in the squad in September.

He'd obviously need a squad number though. He's pretty clearly not going to be playing or named on the bench today though

 

Didn't expect Coyle over Christie, but probably deserved based on pre season outings

 

Starting Coyle lol Rosie really doesn’t help himself. Hernandez to have a field day.

 

Coyle was really good at the back end of last season too and Christie has looked a little out of sorts for me.

Half decent bench too with plenty of options

I just cant understand why we have transfer windows
Previously clubs would buy players when they needed them because of a loss of form or serious injury
now clubs buy them just in case they need them

 

he was probably the worst player in the side towards the end and I couldn’t wait for Christie to get back fit. Aside from a cross, he has poor positioning, slow, and a sloppy touch.

 

This and I think Rosenior has referenced Christie is a good CB backup which looks the case with no Smith on the bench
