liverpool have the following players (any many more in fairness) who will be looking to make a breakthrough or go on to be professionals at a good level. this 11 (one per position) are selected as not having made a full on breakthrough like say bajcetic has.

I thought it might be interesting to drop this here and see what grows out of the steaming pile.

    on a 433 formation

    Davies
    Bradley Quansah Koumetio Chambers
    balagizi morton clark
    doak cannonier gordon

there are of course many many more that could be named expecially in the wider areas but I went for just the 11 and 1 player per position for no particular reason.

there's one young forward I left out just due to age but Figueroa will probably make this list next season

    select 3 from the poll.

I have had to leave balagizi out as only 10 poll options are allowed.

I think Doak had a chance seems to be a determined lad with decent skill and pace.

Some people think Doak will be coached into the Salah role. He looks to have all the attributes from the little I've seen, also looks hard as nails. Still only 17, there's a future captain in there somewhere as well. Morton always does a decent job when called on but needs to up it a level imo.

    my 3 are

quansah (he's 6 foot 1 already) as i think he will be strong enough to make the grade somewhere
clark - we should watch this lad during preseason. folk might be shocked at his progress
davies - This lad is tall for a 19 year old and has the longs arms i've seen on a keeper, good on the ground and I think a real hidden gem thats going to get a lot of plaudits.

All 3 imo are strong enough to make pro football at a decent level.

We know bradely and morton have had good loans already so hopefully will continue doing what they are doing.

    the forgotten lad is gordon.

Couldn't possibly say because I haven't seen the majority of them play.

Cannonier is the former ball boy isn't he. I hope he does, but don't know if he's good enough.

Doak and Clark are the names see bandied about the most, but haven't seen enough of them to judge.

cannonier has goals of goals at underage level but he doesn't have the speed for the pros imo, at least not for his physique.

Which is a shame. Would be a fairytale ending if he became a pro for us. If he doesn't have that in him, it would still be a nice story if he works for LFC in some other capacity at some point in the future.

    preseason is over.

Monday I would presume klopp will go first 11 and give the two crocks 10mins or whatever.

what have we seen from the baby reds?

quansah should probably be satisfied he put his hand up for a bit of a loan at a good level or be a cb option for us.(gomez to rb)

Bradley will be despondent he missed key games and time to impress. did he do enough over the camp? the next 3 weeks will tell us all we need to know.

morton misses all preseason so a loan is all he can hope for.

Clark, will be quite happy I think but is likely in the keep for a few gsme and loan in January pile.

doak, seriously put a hand up for more time and learnings. again likely to be Europe and cups. no loan though.

New faces of scanlon and McConnell will be absolutely over the moon.

After the amount he played in the preseason i think Quensah will be kept as cover this season. As ,like you say, Gomez seems inked in as RB cover and with the known injury record of our CB's he may well be called on .

Disappointed we didn't get anyone new for preseason after the first two with all the people leaving..

Really relying on kids and noone getting injured.

If they played against the senior Everton team the goal difference would have been even higher.

Seems like it was really well handled by everyone including Juve who have offered apologies, suspended player for rest of tournament and sent to anti discrimination courses.

These are kids so although is bad, hopefully can learn and will grow up and mature a bit. I’m sure we’ve all done and said stupid things as kids

Under 21s with another win today. 3-0 away to saints.

Clark and Doak weren’t involved - suggests may be on bench for Sunday again.
