    Bulut'in update
Discussing the opening day trip to Elland Road, Erol Bulut shared his excitement at the prospect of starting the season in front of a sold-out away end at Elland Road.

“I’ve read that the stadium will be full on Sunday, which is perfect. It will be difficult playing against Leeds; at home they play well and are strong with their fans behind them.

"They’re recently relegated from the Premier League so have a strong team. I think that we’ll have a good game on Sunday and hope to take the points that we need. We’re prepared for the challenge.

“Two thousand of our supporters is a good number, and we need them. Of course, at home they’re always great at supporting us, and it will be good to have them with us at Leeds. We want to make them happy after the game.”

Erol provided an injury update on members of the First Team squad, with Romaine Sawyers returning to training this week following extended international duty and a minor knee injury.

“Yakou, Macca, Joe Ralls and Rubin Colwill have all been in training this week, so I think – and hope – that they will be with us at Leeds.

"Ryan Allsop got a small injury in our last friendly match, so it’s looking like he will not be with us this weekend. Jak Alnwick will be good in goal with us and will handle it well.”

Well he seems to have mastered the art of PR. Let's hope his management skills are up to scratch too.

So I’ll tell you. Leeds we’re so up their own rears they decided to change their shirt colour to white to replicate Real Madrid; then the annual champions of Europe. How shallow, pathetic and arrogant was that?

I remember a leeds fan coming over all holier than thou when Tan made us play in red. Lording it over us telling us how they'd always been white and always would be.
Told him to go and look up his club history.

And red wasnt our first change anyway. Glad we didnt stick with the chocolate and amber though.<yikes>

Well the little clubs always enjoy their day in the sun when they have the odd win over a proper team. Did you also have the open top bus parade <cheers>

    Odd win????

Hmm, clearly the words AND numbers in our match day thread were beyond your comprehension and/or level of understanding.

It may have escaped your attention that it's you boys that scrape the odd win against us, and boy didn't you lot make the most of your cup win last season? You'd have thought you'd actually done something significant with the fuss you made :emoticon-0140-rofl:

No response to the empty seats though I note... Admit it, you lot are only a "big" club when things are going well. Any sustained mediocrity or poor form and your crowds drop off just like every other Championship level club, which is what you are at heart.

I’m going 4-0 to Leeds. If I’m near I’ll pop back in later, if you take any points you’ll have a job finding me ;)

Safe travels for those attending, I’d be lying if I said I hope it’s a good game, I’m hoping for one way traffic in our favour <ok>

You have been a bit of a bogey team for us so who knows…

Hi Ristac. The common consensus would appear to be we'll come and defend the point we start with but somehow I think Bulut will go for this big time.

Should be a good game whatever - if we take anything from this one I'll be very pleased.

With exits and injuries we are down to the bare bones, fortunately the starting 11 should still be pretty strong. We’re missing an out and out striker, but the front three whoever we choose would walk into any team in this division. We’ve got so used to missing chances, I think most teams will try and catch us on a break.

We are going to be at our weakest for the first 2-3 games this season so there wouldn’t be a better time to snatch something. The Leeds forum is a right mix of emotion and opinion at the moment, I’m hoping that doesn’t reflect those at the ground, we need our fans today, we can’t afford anxiety in the fans to affect the players on the pitch

I always feel the best time to play a relegated side is early on.
No doubt some adjustment needed to style and pace of game, but quality comes through in the long run.
We'll be a bit of an unkown quantity given the changes in pre-season ( again), but I feel this year the changes are for the better.
I've gone for us sneaking a point, but who knows.

Totally agree early on is the best time to play the relegated sides... Hopefully Leeds with their injuries and re-acclimatisation will be a little wobbly for a couple of weeks.

Only downside is we're also bedding in a new side again in reality so may struggle against them as the majority of their players have been together for some time, despite the loss of so many bigger names.

Will certainly be an interesting contest.

Think I'd have preferred Robinson to Ugbo.
    Hope Jck is proved right.

Don't get Ugbo starting ahead of Robinson unless Robbo's not fully fit. That apart it is the 11 I expected.

Plenty of bench options if needed.
