The 3 that came down are stronger than we've seen in years in my opinion. The fact that Southampton have been able to reject £40m bids for 2 different midfielders shows their strength. They'll lose both but at their own price. Years ago they'd have had to have a fire sale. They've sold a right back to Newcastle for £40m and tonight they have a lad there who played twice for England in the last 18 months.
His teams have loads of the ball, iirc at MKD they had the highest possession in the league as did Swansea last season. Now he has quality players at his disposal they’ll be awful to play against.
100%. People are kidding themselves on trying to suggest the league was competitive last season and it won’t be harder this season. The 3 clubs who’ve came down are huge and have sold players for big money already. Leicester and Southampton aren’t pissing about.
