Bamford.. Rutter.. Joseph.. Firpo.. Dramah.. Dallas.. Harrison... Adams... Summerville? Is that the 9. That is a first choice squad right there.
I don't blame Cooper, let's face it, he's been the barrage of some abuse over the years, league 1 Liam etc....but I think he's an honourable fella and will see our predicament and possibly wait until we have a replacement before he goes. If not hrs a twat
Cooper is another Bamford. Not good enough and injury prone. If he goes the only thing we'll miss is his organising at the back. Luckily Cresswell will take that on. Bye Coops, thanks for everything but go and get your money with our blessing. Defenders like him are 10 a penny in this league.
I think the time has come for the squad to engender the '-15' attitude. Everyone is our enemy & shouldn't be spared. Sadly, such an attitude would require a leader, & Cooper is the man to pull it all together. I can't think of any other leader we've got for this task, but I'd be happy for Coops to do his thing even from the bench or stand, if injured. Most of what's required is behind the scenes, anyway. Would be interesting to hear what his offer was, & how it would compare to remaining here at our darkest moment & being awarded a testimonial. I really can't see an immediate replacement for him at the moment.
Cooper was our leader last year and the troops hardly seemed motivated at all. We went down with a whimper. Didn't inspire much fight in that lot. Ship him out.
With james behind him it may work. Winger either side of james who tackles back and chases the ball. Amapadu and Gyabi in the mids. The defence is a puzzle though.
Yeah hence my question mark. Did i read that 16 had trained during the week? So that would leave 4 spots on the 9 man bench.
If Cooper is gone by Sunday as reports suggest back line will be Ayling. Ayling Cresswell. Strujk. Hejlde
