Good morning, Cooper is one of the players that I don't blame taking a pay day. Having said that, if he leaves right before the first game of the season after what he was quoted as saying the other day it's not a good look. I'd take advantage of the Saudi interest and say they can only have him if they take Costa too. Get a little extra fee and a little extra wages off the books. He's already played over there so presumably he'd be up for it.
But surely it doesn't really matter as he'd have been injured during the warm up for Sundays game anyway
I think that's the grating thing. He's another one who's sat there a said he'll stay to get us back up and when the smell of money comes whiffing his way he's jumped ship. His little speech at the end of last season was clearly bollocks. Supposedly the term of the contract was agreed earlier this week Talksport only got hold of the story yesterday afternoon. Then a story came out last night that we were actively looking for a striker
Where's Kamara hiding? Cos it's common knowledge that Beale has him training by himself and Rangers signed that Columbian lad from LAFC.
If you work on the basis that no footballer gives a damn about his club and only cares about cash you wont be disappointed too often. Its when fans start believing the pr statements written for them and the kissing of the badge and the famous one which is I can't wait to play in front of the home supporters as they are the best in the world, that the shock and the criticising of the player sets in
Would it be wrong of me to hope the Cooper story is true. The news about the club ACTIVELY looking for a striker might be a touch too rushed. They have no clue we could be bottom half by September.
All true and as we've discussed on the forum before when we dig down and analyse football to the point of why should we support a particular club then there isn't really a worthwhile argument for doing so anymore. Then your team kicks off and all that goes out of the window thank god.
You never see any mass brawls on the pitch these days. I seem to remember one but it was a while back.
