The Germans have a brilliant side atm - was well impressed with them at the World Cup and have continued to improve. Mario Gomez unstoppable atm for Bayern as well - remember his first tournamet for Germany I had a bet on him for top scorer based on his rep and he was ****e
and he's struggling to get in the team in front of Klose, who is now only 5 goals short of Gerd Muller's record of 68 goals for Germany. Did you see his goal last night - 3 first time passes and he sinks the header in the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Keeper never moved.
3.40 Hexham - DENY E.W 40/1 (BOG) One of the lightest movers on the gallops Famouswise has ever seen . A really poor juvenile hurdle here and whilst my selection has a bad temprament if he was to show all of his ability I would fancy him to go close today. I wouldn't say he is overpriced though as he was going the wrong way on the flat for Sir Michael Stoute and looked clueless on his hurdling debut for this yard last month http://www.attheraces.com/form.aspx?raceid=290177&meetingid=&date=2010-09-18&ref=form&refsite=. That bit of form shows he has plenty of ability and hopefully he will run a nice race today.
Yep, those 3 basically ripped Holland apart down the right flank. The only reason I don't like Gomez is that he is a posing tosspot. Have a look at his website: http://www.mario-gomez.de/
1.20 Lingfield - REALLY LOVELY 7/1 (BOG) I don't think we have seen the best of this Jeremy Noseda trained filly and as she may well be open to further improvement a mark of 73 could be workable. She has an excellent pedigree and represents top connections and looks overpriced at 7s. 12.55 Fairyhouse - HIS EXCELLENCY 15/2 (BOG) I like the look of this one today and feel it is overpriced through a form line with the 2nd fav (2/1) Leroy Parker. The pair were seperated by around 4 3/4 lengths last time out but his excellency travelled well that day and I think there is plenty more to come from this horse.
Oddy - When i looked on his site, im no german speaker let alone reader, i though id click on partner, thinking lets have a look at his wag... Just more look at me pictures of his sponsors... What a cheese ball he is...!!!
Afternoon, all. Disappointed to say nothing for me today and therefore the ‘no bet banner’ is fluttering in the breeze at the moment. The day is not without interest though as at Warwick both the 4YO Chase and the concluding bumper are races that should be solid pointers to the old future. Meanwhile, is it just me that thinks so far this NH season has, apart from a couple of instances, failed to ignite thus far?!? Let’s hope though that the old flame starts burning very shortly. Maybe Long Run will provide the spark on Saturday.
1.20 Lingfield: Really Lovely 7/1 Shaped well enough in maidens to suggest nurseries/handicaps were there to be won and I think we can forgive it for hanging left at Windsor. If running to true form I think it will go very close today and is overpriced. 2.20 Lingfield: Requisite 15/2 e.w Has shaped with a lot of promise lately and ran really well in a listed race when 6L behind the smart SIRIUS PROSPECT. My main worry is Joe Fanning, who is better riding from the front that hold-up horses. But I'll take my chance that he might be able to find a passage for this one. 2.50: PRINCE OF BURMA 12/1 (NAP) I'm convinced this horse is capable of striking from a mark of 77 and I expect Jeremy Gask to have a productive winter with this one. Only concern is that it might end up wanting further. Anyway, should be flying at the finish today and is closely matched with Amitola on Doncaster running, whose price is a skinny 7/2. Gask is shrewd and I think in time this will be a great acquisition.
I see his Uncle Paul has just announced on 'Sporting Life' that Harry Derham has turned pro. Bit of a surprise that. Would have thought he would have wanted to mop up the ametuer heats for the remainder of the term before making such a move next spring and therefore having the whole season as a conditional.
WIFFY CHATSBY 2.00 WARWICK 13/2 BOG Displayed a fair level of form so far in bumpers and is most interesting on his hurdling debut today. Bumper he contested last time out is working out very well - winner won at Cheltenham on Sunday and 2nd beat a useful sort on his hurdling debut. Looks overpriced here at 13/2
