Only the group stage though wasn’t it
    They call it playing possum
    Still a cracking result

I am hoping we can get revenge on them in the WWC

It turns out Australia have got the ‘easier’ of the semi finals with that defeat

let’s hope this win backfires on them and the English get **** loads of confidence from the win to push them on

Got smashed by NZ in opening game but going much better against Bangladesh.

Could do with a big win here to get the net run rate back up to something reasonable as well.

    Its all we can do.

The target is top 4 so we have to put NZ and india out of our heads and compete for the last two spots now (india are hosts)

Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and England are competing for 2 places. those 3 game sought to decide this.

In the end brutalising bangladesh won't mean that much

Nz and India arent guaranteed anything yet. Only 1/2 games into the tournament. Still 7/8 more games to go.

NZ have already 2 wins and one big one in the bank so that puts them in a nice spot already
India have homes support which is massive yeah?

I mean we can all assume
    Wins against:
    a) Afghanistan
    b) Bangladesh
    c) Netherlands

Anyone not winning those 3 are going to be in awful trouble. (straight away we are down to 6 games)

    NZ have beaten us
    India have beaten Australia

It really is 7 into 4. Sri lanka, australia, pakistan, NZ, india, england, south africa.

We play Afghanistan next, then south africa then sri lanka. We'd really want to have those 4 wins on the board before we play india.

Solid win. Set up brilliant with the bat, only negative was falling away a bit at the end. Should have been looking 380-400 but was enough.

And same with bowling. Brilliant start then middle overs just plodded through really. Miss the ability Rashid being able to pick up wickets in those middle orders. For some reason has terrible record in India despite fact normally helps spinners.

This could be the world Cup over.

England cannot afford to lose this, they are miles off and reliant on Brook now to chase

    England hammered.

that's points you can never make up as the other top 4 contenders will likely smash Afghanistan.

It’s England v Pakistan for the 4th spot really.

England could easily go beat Australia South Africa and Pakistan and be all good.

not sure looking at the bowling ao far.

Australia look pretty down and out already.
South Africa will be very tough.

it does look like scraping by at this point and no more.
