I think this will be a tough game but I'd be disappointed if we didn't win.

I went to the Liberty to watch Donny Rovers ( I think Donny won 2-0 ) and it was pretty intimidating after the game - not that the copper who told us to walk the wrong way though the Swansea fans helped.

    I'll go for 2-1 United <ok>

They like to think they're a bunch of hard cases but in reality it is very comical! ****ing idiots wearing fake Burberry caps and 0.0001 carrot gold chains and rings. It's a minor percentage anyway.

I detect an air of deferance and respect though, there won't be any bother at this game. Swans fans seem to be anticipating this one massively, not unexpecedly really.

I think with Rooney, Cleverly and Young all well rested we'll be firing for this one. As long as they are fit and play of course.

Where did you end up Eric?

    Morning,

This just has a feeling of one of those games where the other team will play out of their skin. I think it will be close but hopefully we will nick it.

What you do you mean by where did he end up ? On the night. We went to all the bar on the what I think is the main street - with the fountain over the road from it, then into JACKS - (plenty of gash in JACKS) then back to one of the wierdest house party's in Neath I have ever been too ( they don't like you if you're not local seemingly).

I have been Swansea a few times and I love it - there's some little bar of a side road of that main street I mentioned - I think it's a student bar / hut where they sell drinks called **** like 'gorilla farts' that bar was a good laugh (it's next to a big car park).

Anyone watch the game last night ? I didn't, can't be arsed with friendlies <ok>

I think that's The Loft. Never been myself though. The people who go there are all seemingly Jagermeister addicts, dropouts the bloody lot of em.

You were probably sent down through tehe Hafod after the game, loads of terraced houses interspersed with boozers? Yes, very nice down there.

**** knows but it was scary as ****. I know there was a chippy as we just sat in there with our heads down until most people had gone ( not that this helps with telling you where we were ).

I see some rumours have started up about Sneijder again in January already - I can't be arsed with that **** for another 2 months. Plus I think we need a more defensive midfielder but doubt we can get the quality we want in January due to the best players being cup tied.

That'll be Rossi's, just across the road. Brilliant pub just up the alley from there called The Railway, you'd have had a fine old welcome!

My opinion is we need Sneijder for the league. If we're to win the PL we definitely need to sign someone, I wouldn't worry about the CL as that is always just the icing on any cake for me. I agree we need a DM though, but this is in addition to Sneijder.

We NEED both. The squad is complete then.

Ha, can't be arsed today. In the middle of writting a programme sat in bed having over slept because my watch battery randomly died in the night before going off to Exeter for monthly meeting and I found out regional director will be in attendance. So, I'm good and calm this morning!!

Anyway, finished it but can't get Mocrosoft project to shut or print to pdf so **** it, SSS time for me then I'm off to Devon.

For the record, we definitely need two new CM's and then the squad IS complete.

    Sounds about right.

I'd love for us to have Sneijder but like you say I think we need two central midfielders so Pogba and Cleverley can come through in time. We are looking good for the future in defence, on the wings and with forwards but a central midfield as been average / not United standard for a few years now.

Still it could be worse, look at Liverpool <ok>

I honestly think we only need one top class defensive CM / DM. Someone who can play both the Carrick and the Makalele role. That way we will be able to give Cleverley or Ando free reign to be the attacking CM in a 442, and also have the option to play 4141 against someone like Barca, as England did against Spain.

In the long term that player could well be Jones, but that will rely on us being able to replace him in central defence, and given the injuries we've had in defence recently we would be pretty stretched to stick him in midfield right now. I'd love us to get Schweinsteiger, but given that he seems welded to Bayern I reckon Sissoko or De Rossi would be the best bet. Or maybe even a cheeky offer to De Jong to join us in the summer once his contract runs down at City. I'm growing increasingly unconvinced that Sneijder would actually solve our midfield problems, given that he would probably play one of the roles that Rooney and Cleverley are playing at the mo.

I think we need another option at left back as well - Evra seems to be too content to live off past glories and is starting to remind me of Heinze post injury. With the twins probably both needed at RB as Smalling is the best option alongside Vidic in the centre, we're short of cover there.

So, Swarbs, you agree with my earlier post "Your defence needs looking at as well", then.

In an earlier post (can't find it), you mentioned that you were born in Warrington. I asked whereabouts you lived. When my family moved there from Liverpool, we first lived in Appleton. When I got married, we lived in Stockton Heath. When I got divorced, couldn't afford Stockton Heath, so moved to Latchford. Interesting place.............................So where did you live?
