I'm sure I mentioned when it was rumoured that we were first after him, that I couldn't understand the positivity on here about us potentially signing a 26 year old, who in the last 8 seasons has played a total of 93 first team games, 46 of which were either domestic cup games, German 2nd division, with 17 of those games being in the Championship with Bournemouth.

He has got experience of playing in European competitions, so that may be useful for when we have to travel away to Swansea and Cardiff. I have no idea about his ability, having never seem him play and it's probably difficult to assess one way or the other, as he's never really had an extensive run of games.

I have no issues with us signing him if Farke wants him, just think he is over priced and not some I can get excited about.

Whilst a lot of the above could be aimed at Ampadu also, he is 4 years younger, has played 30 first team games more than Phillips, and apart from his first season at Exeter, all his games have been played in the top division of 3 of Europe's top 5 leagues

However he's psst the age of 30 and has admitted he won't be able to play every game of this season. I'm assuming that the Saudi league plays the same months as us due to the heat and its an easier playing field. The question is how much are the Saudis offering.

From our point of view if he does go it only leaves us with Pascal and Creswell and the need to sign to CBs this month. With the speed of how things go now we should have signed both CBs by 2025.

 

Michael Beale has confirmed Kamara will not play today and is training away from the rest of the squad. Asked about his future he said he expects it to be resolved in the next few days.

It’s unclear if he will be joining Leeds or one of the other European clubs that have expressed an interest

 

Did Cooper say he wanted to be here?
