Is out of Man City game awaiting news on Obertan according to Chronicle

What is wrong with Obertans toe? I heard it was an infection.

 

I actaully hope Ober is fit, however if he's out I'd consider playing Benny.

 

They originally thought Obertan would be out for several weeks so I doubt he'll make it. Either Santon on the right or Ben Arfa and Guthrie to come in and play 4-3-3 with Best missing out (he may be injured still anyway.)

 

Id like to see that . Guthrie has been impressive and shouldnt be dropped.

 

Who would be in the middle 3?

You can't have Guthrie anywhere near a wing because he can't hold his position, drifts towards the centre and leaves the entire flank exposed as shown pretty much every occasion he's played out wide.

or maybe Santon on the wing instead of HBA...

I know Man City are a team of many many talents but cut out Silva and Yaya and you have a big chance, i think packing our midfield out is the only option

I was just about to say the same team. HBA can start on the wing if we have three centre mids, as there would be less pressure to work back defensively.

 

This but I would swap HBA and Jonas!

 

Na i wouldn't because Jonas does well covering Raylor...HBA wouldn't give him the same cover

 

To be honest Benny will start but I'd be surprised is we didn't play 442 as usual. Wouldn't be surprised in he plays Loverkrands though.

 

I can see him playing HBA on the right and McLoven up top with Ba in a 4-4-2.

 

His toe?? What's wrong with his bleeding head is what I wanna know!

 

I think we should play Santon on the right for added protection and then play Ben Arfa in the hole to link up with Ba and also drop back so we have another man in midfield and also create space for Cabaye.

Hm just a thought. Benny has not started any premiership games since THAT horrible tackle.... against THAT club at THAT stadium where THAT twat will probably play and be instructed to tackle BA in THAT way again.

Too much of a risk for me, benny might have a strong character but just imagine the thoughts going around his head.

As much as I dislike seeing Guthrie on the right rather than central...having Guthrie could be good.. He played a full 90 minutes(and more) against Everton and should be the most match fit among our options and he was playing really well too.. Would be happy to see him in the lineup then

 

I was about to post the same. It's essential for us to cover the fullbacks and Ben Arfa just wouldn't do that, and much as I'd like to keep Guthrie in I'd rather keep our shape that's worked so well so far. I'd be tempted to put Best in for BA if fit and change second half, but having Ben Arfa might discourage a bit of the long ball we played in the last home game and let us keep possession a bit more.

 

We will probably put out a 442. Is Best definitely out?
