Would you prefer different owners? We should be grateful.

What can’t you grasp about people complaining about lack of choice? It’s not the price being complained about it’s the lack of choice. Anyone accepts that they can’t afford some areas of the ground but despite a price increase there are areas they can afford.

I’ve made no mistake. You said trev doesn’t understand business. I corrected you.

You took the line that if the product quality increases then the price to the customer should increase. I simply pointed out it doesn’t have to increase.

You said all you’ve seen is people complain about price hikes. I’ve stated not many in here have, and those that have complained I genuinely feel for. I’m lucky, I get that. I can still be sympathetic to those less fortunate who will struggle with the hikes.

The owners have done a great job so far, there is still a long way to go. Ticketing, fan liaison and the corporate sponsorship side of things have a long way to go (it’s this that should be making the extra money in my view).

the real dropped bollocks dropping like splitting friends and family up without any ****s been giving. It’s about them being made aware of the issues and doing sweet **** all about it.

I’ll praise when it’s due and I’ll criticise when it’s due. They’ve blindsided the fan base. Pure and simple.

So I never said you guys had complained about price afterall basically, so I corrected you.

I'm not the bad guy here mate I just think people need to be pleased with the takeover and not forget where they'd be without the new owners.

OK they've been asked for a few quid they didn't expect, but let's not lose sight of the fact they're paying to end up enjoying the football these days.

Your comments have been about people complaining about the price even after having it pointed out to you that the complaint is about the lack of choice. When I was a kid I went in the Gallowgate or Leazes. I understood that I couldn’t afford the stand. I wasn’t however told that I could attend but had to pay for a random ticket that might be in the stand. Even if the price for the terraces went up I was fine but still couldn’t afford the stand. Are we getting to simple enough explanations yet or are you just wumming?

I doubt it. The ticket office staff wouldn’t know how to forward a complaint on as they’ve not been shown yet <laugh>

I never argued against any of that... people assumed I had alot though and on it went.

The point raised was specific and it's not my fault if people opened up a rabbit hole I didn't follow them down.

I don't particularly care If what I'm saying winds people up that's up to how they interpret things they don't understand or agree with.

    My point was specific.

Thing is the ticket office historically have been useless at the toon. I suspect the same incompetents are running the ticket office and it needs radical improvement which hasn’t happened yet under the new regime

Sorry mate but you went on several times about people having to accept increased prices which wasn’t what was being complained about. It’s you who was failing to correctly interpret or understand the points being made.

Yes that's because I was originally talking specifically about people complaining about the prices.... people got that wrong so there's the catalyst for their errors that have followed.

The fact I'm explaining this and correcting people accusing me of sighting individuals is evidence that it's not me misunderstanding anything.

I've also posted several times saying I agree with that aspect of the complaint.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what I think , you or anyone else.... none of this matters.

The Membership ballot for Newcastle United's first game of the season, against Aston Villa at St. James' Park, opens at 10am on Wednesday, 2nd August at book.nufc.co.uk and will close at 10am on Friday, 4th August.

Eddie Howe's side take on the Villans in a 17:30 BST kick-off on Saturday, 12th August and ballot applications are strictly one ticket per membership.

Those members that are successful in the ballot will be contacted by 5pm on Friday, 4th August, and payment will be processed. Seats are allocated randomly so you could be allocated tickets in any area of the stadium with the ticket range of £44 to £74 for an adult tickets (or the applicable concession rate, where applicable).

Those members who are unsuccessful in the ballot are eligible to purchase any seats put up for re-sale by season ticket holders. Any seats that are put up for re-sale can be viewed and purchased online. They cannot be purchased over the phone or in person.

Digital tickets will be emailed to the applicant, or in case of a group, the lead applicant. Digital ticketing FAQs can be found here.

    ONLINE BALLOT PROCESS

Each member has a unique supporter ID and can therefore only register once for the ballot (so if you are included in a group application, you cannot also make an individual application at the same time). The maximum number of supporters who may be included within a ballot application is six.

If you wish to be included in the ballot so that, if successful, you would be seated together in a group with friends and/or family members, then you must register all of the proposed members of that group in one application only.

To apply for friends and family members, they must be members and be linked to your account via the 'My Friends & Family' option within your online ticketing account. Please ensure that, before submitting a group application as lead applicant, you have (i) completed and checked this in your account settings and (ii) obtained the prior consent of those friends and/or family members on whose behalf you are applying.

It is imperative that you check and select the correct age band for each ballot applicant, since failure to do so may result in an unsuccessful application.

Each applicant (and, in the case of a group application, the lead applicant submitting on behalf of the group) will need to enter credit/debit card details when submitting a ballot application. No payment will be processed at the point of registering in the ballot.

If you are successful, the automated balloting system will automatically allocate you (and in the case of a group application, each of the members of that group) a seat which could be in any of the available seats.

Once the deadline date has passed for ballot registrations, the ballot will be drawn randomly. The member applicants who are successful in the ballot will automatically have their credit/debit card payment charged for the total cost of ticket(s) allotted. Each successful applicant (and, in the case of a successful group application, the lead applicant submitting on behalf of the group) will receive a confirmation email.

If your payment is not successful the box office will contact you. You will then have 24 hours to complete payment following initial contact. If payment is not received by this time, the tickets will be re-balloted and allocated to another eligible supporter.

If you do not receive an email then, unfortunately the number of ballot applications received has exceeded available ticket capacity and you have not been successful. Supporters can check whether or not they are successful in the ballot via the 'My Account' option within their online ticketing account.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    * Membership is not transferable and only allows you to apply for your age band
    * Seats will be allocated randomly across the stadium (if you apply as a group in one application you will be sat together)
    * All tickets are digital and should be downloaded to your smart phone immediately upon receipt

So what if our 3G ****s up on the day for the digital tickets btw?

Is there a way to download them to your phone so you don't have to be online to access?

I beg to differ and it would appear the PIF agree with me.

I wouldn't be selling myself short on ticket sales when the demand is sky high..
