I don't even think the captain should argue. They can speak to the ref to get a understanding but not argue the decision. As Diego said, you're not going to change his mind. Plus, VAR will review major decisions too
that's a fair view of it but adults should be able to express an opinion back and forth if there's respect.
Do Rugby captains argue with the ref? As far as I'm aware they can ask the ref for clarification, that's all. Seems to work ok there.
I assume that's a tradition from the game's development out of public school - same with the acceptance of the ref's authority.
It's starts at school. We had to call the rugby and football referee sir at school, somewhere along the line it changed.
it's simple. if you understand the decision your team can adjust what it's doing to exploit the next time same reason why teams put analysis time into refs and why in rugby union props gonout of their way to paint a picture to a ref to buy a pen. if you figure this ref gives frees for something then you go pass that on so your own divers can use it.
they do. there's quite the discussion at times. like gentlemen. it's all about painting a picture to the ref and seeking to gain some advantage.

Chelsea now have a 39 man squad. Granted some of those will go out on loan, but that is 14 players they either have to loan or sell (and adhere to the HG rules) in the next 11 days.
it's not enough. they need at least another 20 before the window slams shut. they need to replace every player signed so far in case they get their kit dirty or something
It's amazing that players keep signing for them. No Europe, a possibility that they may make the starting XI, a new manager every year ad infinitum.....
7 year contract on high wages with probably high level of salary increase or ability to renegotiate it down the road.
Most are on 7 or 8 year deals yeah. Enzo signed 8 year deal then signed extensions for another year 6 months in
most currently are very young players that have absolutely no prospect of playing for chelsea and will be perma loans. After that they simply buy players then barely play them and decide to sell them or just buy the next version. their fans will swear up and down ferandez is not a 6 and they need a 6.
