Trying doesn’t involve investing. Competing involves investing - 2 different words that aren’t even linked in a **** online thesaurus
Nothing to do with winning things mate, forget paying for players and winning titles etc. They have royally screwed the fans here - I can afford it, I could do my all inclusive euro trip and buy several tickets (my missus would kill me) - BUT the way the club are going about this is certifiably insane. No communication of not being able to select areas - some may need family section, some may not be able to make L7, some adults with ST will have kids on memberships who they cant seat near themselves now, no suggestion the ballot would be for a random seat at a random price - what good is the ballot if 50% of the people allocated £74 tickets can't afford them? OK they go back to general sale and people WILL pick them up but if you've applied for a membership and paid money in good faith you may get a ticket only to be selected for ticket you can't afford with no prior warning and the club have only notified everyone once they'd sold 100,000+ memberships - that's ****ed up. If the club had communicated this was the way it was going to be would as many have signed up for the membership? Highly doubtful. The whole process of memberships this year has been awful, it's been slow, hazy, and now they've kept back info that would have allowed people to make an informed decision, it's not the fans who can't afford it to blame...
I knew it wouldn't take long for the fans to go after the owners. The value of the product has increased.. the demand has increased.
Just shut the **** up man. You have no ****ing clue what you’re talking about and harp back to **** arguments that bear no weight whatsoever. You’re coming across as a troll. There’s people that have been totally screwed over in this but you can’t see anyone else’s point of view other than your own.
I'm not I just understand that prices increase based on the value of a product. I understand people don't like paying more and feeling upset.
My little un is one the poor sods now locked out. That’s why I’m pissed off. The only chance he will get to go is me relying on favours from the likes of chippy, fadge and Schlem which I shouldn’t have to do for starters and with all due respect to them, isn’t him going to the match with his dad. Prices don’t bother me. But the club has massively ****ed up the fans again with devious ****housery.
Mate there's a confusion here and it's not that I don't understand people don't like increases or feeling let down I just think they're getting much more value.
I've seen people complaining about price today... you're the one arguing a different point mate not me.
They could have done that. Easily. Just increase the ticket prices like they have with the season tickets. Difference being they’ve kept things quiet. I have an email saying membership wasn’t included with season tickets but we’d get the chance to purchase it separately. I have this in writing. Then they changed it and we couldn’t get membership unless we created new accounts. That’s just 1 instance. Yeah Zak now can’t get in unless he goes with the lads, that’s a me problem. What about 88 year old bob who gets stuck up in the back row of level 7 after his hip replacement, or 4 year old joe going for the first time and stuck in with the teenage ****er brigade near the away fans. Or the poor sod that’s unemployed and saves up for to take his son, only to find his £55 is not going to cut it as they want to stick him in the platinum club. They’ve dropped a huge ****ing clanger. The next generation are going to be lost.. it’s that big a clanger and all because loads of ****ing bellends now think it’s a fashion statement to go to the game and brag about it at work when in reality they have no interest in football.
Come on CC, be reasonable man. I think it's clear he means the unknown price range. It's not a single price that has been increased it's the not knowing which seat and therefore what price you will pay if you are selected. Especially for families/groups. Then there is the issue of not being together, like Magdad and his lad.
It's the way it will go mate people will get priced out over time. The clubs newcastle want to compete with charge loads.
Okay genius let me put this into context for you. An extra £20 a ticket x 10,000 x 19 home games doesn’t even pay the salary of a squad player for the season.
1. You started off by saying, “If Newcastle fans demand a Club that tries they’ll have to pay more”. You realised that wasn’t true and you moved your goalposts. 2. The issue for most is that the balloting system is unfair and can easily be made fairer to no one’s detriment including the Club’s. There honestly is no debate on that point. 3. You are now pretending that your point was that to compete we need more money. This is correct but the Club should not price out the real supporters or they will harm the thing that caused them to buy us in the first place, the unique passion that sets us apart from most other Clubs. Think that sums it all up.
