Looking a cracking bet now; respective odds now 1/4 and 4/6 (2/5 with one)

Lot of chatter saying Colback is undergoing medical and signing for 2 years.

I wonder if they’ll check his loading?

Bit of twitter chat of one in , Colback and one out...Field going.

I really really don't believe that one.

At this moment...Gareth must be trying to shore up the defence.

I would guess by playing 2 holding defensive midfielders in front of the back 4.

Not pretty...but at this point with no fit established first team CDs... (ClarkSalter, Dunne injured, Fox new, Randall, Gubbins, Woodman and Hawkins ...kids)..

Our starting CDs on Saturday may be Fox and Field.

It is not a pretty sight.

Not only have we a mediocre squad, we are also not getting any luck

Or we just jeep buying sicknotes that everyone else is savvy to ! It can't be just down to bad luck, it's been too many players over too long a period. Something is seriously ****ed in our recruitment !

Agree on the whole...but Dunnes injury was unlucky. He is not a sicknote...and his was an accidental injury....it is unlucky to get an injury like that in preseason.

Smyth, and JCS do seem to be sicknotes I agree

In our promotion year with Warnock, the average age of our squad was high.

Sam Feld leaving would be a disaster - he’s a decent player but right now I could see why he’s be tempted to look at his options

It can't be down to luck when we are the worst suffering team with injuries. It's consistent. Not saying Dunne's injury was anything more than an accident itself, but we can't have this many injuries by pure bad luck.

A combination of recruitment policy, playing surfaces and training regimes.

Quite surprised that he hasn't been snapped up already to be fair and I certainly wouldn't blame him for going elsewhere. His career is going nowhere with us. Colback is a little scrapper who can move the ball well and would be a welcome addition to our team, just the sort you need for a relegation fight. It's going to be very ugly this season, much the same players that frustrated us last year with the exception of Begovic. I could add Smyth but when we will see him and for how long is anyone's guess.

It looks like we're picking up old players that no one else wants, the Dirty Dozen of the Championship if you like. Lets hope they want to be here and not just using us as a final pay day. Otherwise we're turning into the Battersea Dogs Home for footballers.

Colbeck and Fox, always seemed like fighters...really what we need.

We need to get through this season and stay in Championship...single aim.

Feels as though conditions are pushing GA back to his sense of security and wanting non-nonsense players with one route. Maybe it’s why we’re not seeing the best of Willock and Chair as they realise the style of team/play that’s coming. None of it can be short-term as we bring these players in on 2-year contracts - leaving little room to develop back to an entertaining, footballing, winning side.

I guess fans will decide with their cash and feet if it’s what they want week in, week out.

Hope he's a right nasty bastard in midfield

And it's about time Dozzell did something, to repay the money we paid for him
