If you left your bag on a train would it be wrong of me to report it for being unattended as I was there?

Not having been on said train i can't say if this did or didn't happen.

Now that would have been funny....
'So Mr Jenrick, what was in the case that we just executed a controlled explosion on?' <laugh>

That's a sacking offence in days gone by. Not in this regime. In fact the incident will be carefully removed from view in 24hours.

Mind you, if it was an opposition MP drinking a canned G&T it would still be headline news next month.

I think that Jenrick's response gives it away.
His spokesman called the picture "misleading" and he failed to deny any part of the story.

“Mr Jenrick was working on the train throughout the journey, with his ministerial box close by at all times.
“He sat in the seat directly to the left of this misleading photo and he left the train with his locked ministerial box.”

    "Close by" is suitably vague.
"He sat is the seat directly to the left" says nothing about when he did so.
"He left the train with his locked ministerial box" matches what the family claimed.

Nope, as it was sitting in a chair while he was in the bog

Jenrick's story certainly doesn't track, because if he had any assistants or handlers with him surely one would've sat by the box the second he got up, not least for security reasons (and, you know, to avoid bad optics like an unattended ministerial box)

Also, his claims he was sat in the seats opposite actually make even less sense, as if he was why wasn't the box with him? And, more importantly, why did he leave the empty packet of fruit salad on the table he wasn't sitting at?

Yes, sorry, I keep aiming conversations on the expectation of not having to explain the most obvious and irrelevant aspect of it

This is why I gave up working in IT...

The most obvious aspect being there was someone there with a phone looking after the case?

No, someone with a phone looking at the case

None of Jenrick's advisors or handlers (if he had any) would have taken a photo of the case left alone on the train, what with that being an obvious security issue

The case was locked, in a carriage on a travelling train. What would be so weird about saying to the guy sat opposite you "keep an eye on that while io go for a piss"? The man himself wasn't going to run off anywhere with it except to another compartment, he was unlikely to try and break into it since he could be identified and had nowhere to run,
    Massive security risk <laugh>

Or it could just be that he doesn't want the added CO2 produced by bringing oil and gas in from around cthe world?
Believe it or not we are going to need both for many years yet, oil in particular. Have you any idea what oil is used for other than refining fuel and topping your engine up?

Not sure that's an assessment or a threat.

What's he want from that? Nobody's there to make the republican's electable except the republicans. And if they choose to disappear down the rabbit hole, filled with right wing lunatics, populists, and batshit conspiracy theorists what does he expect anyone to do about it except call them out for the ****s they are.
