And he had a furious rant at Harry Maguire after a slack pass to Christian Eriksen gifted Dortmund a chance..

Surprised Harry Maguire is still playing. United are ****ed.

    Harsh there dribs old son.

The guy is merely deluded and prone to making statements to get attention.

City had a good year out of haaland, he only missed 2 through injury which is the most games he's ever got so 35 games 36 goals. the issue is the year before he missed 10 games and the year before 6.

In general he is a goal a game "circus freak" according to sky etc so if he plays then the golden boot is his.

kane played 38 last year and scored 30. the year before 37 and only got 17.

Postecoglou will probably play to his strengths and fawn all over him IF he stays so I'm sure kane can score a lot of goals. But the big circus freak will need to miss about 10 games for kane to beat him out.

So new rules for the prem about time keeping make sense I guess but we’ll see.

New rule for more leniency on physical challenges, so wait for first few games where load of barges and so on are let go by one ref yet given by another and no one has a clue as to what is and isn’t a foul anymore.

and when more than 1 player approaches ref 1 or more will be booked. I hope a sensible approach is made to that and if 2 are talking it’s not just an auto yellow unless aggressive. Hopefully stop players running from miles away though

Why would 2 be talking if only 1 was allowed to approach ref? Surely 1 is enough for any incident, either captain or player directly involved.

Quite often the ref will speak to a player and ask the captain to be involved

If there are 2 players standing there and one gets fouled? Does the other need to run away.

If ref has given a foul and player walks over to take the free kick and means there are 2 or 3 people there.

As I say, common sense will prevail and difference between 2 players talking to the ref and player running up to the ref and moaning.

Would be harsh to card someone in that circumstance <laugh>
Unless he was going to card the player and wanted the captain to know why.

Pretty sure it doesn't involve players walking over to take a free kick. It means if you want to dispute a decision then only one player will be allowed to approach the ref instead of an angry mob screaming at him (and yes i am well aware we are and have been for some time the worst for this).
Heard an interesting conversation with a ref on the radio today when he asked the presenter "have you ever seen a ref change his mind on a decision when players have surrounded him" made me think and i can't say i have.

I'd imagine it's a rule intended to stop the crowding of the ref mate, nothing more

I actually 100% agree with the crowding the referee stance, hope they stick with it. Don't give a **** if games end with 16 players initially, they'll learn!

However, I think we all know it'll last two or three game weekends at most before it's forgotten. Plus, in those opening weeks the refs will bottle it; they'll book one or two before stopping because "it's getting silly"

Why is it ok for one player to disrepute it? As per your last part, refs don’t change their mind so make it a yellow for any player disputing it in that case.

    Captains job.

A good ref should communicate clearly the calls and remind them who's in charge then and finally to go sort their team out.

I'm not in the least bit worried about ref pressure.

If refs are now instructed to ref like its the 1980s klopp might as well retire. We have zero physicality in the side and will be bullied left and right

If I were a ref and it happened to me it would definitely change my mind - instead of just booking one I'd book the lot of 'em.

Again, of agree with that too.

Never had a issue with Mascherano getting sent off for dissent, he deserved it. However, so did many other players but they didn't get the same punishment.
