And if you can't see how much of a hypocrite you are then your heads even further up you're own arse then it comes across
I’ve seen a couple of pre season games and on the balance I’ve been impressed. I thought we played within ourselves yesterday. Often slow with the ball and lacked a decisive pass until the second half which resulted in a goal. I’ve no concerns in how we play out from the back. It’s controls the pace of the game and keeps the ball. It’s the bit that makes us hard to break down. It shouldn’t however be our only outlet. Both wide players have pace and Delap is a tall lad. Some direct football to the wide men and to Delap would yield results with Slater and Tufan just behind. My reservations are that we can’t be that relaxed next week or at home against the Wendies. Need the killer instinct which I know we have. Just need to freedom to show it. Looking forward to the season though! Positive about the team we have assembled!
Just to be clear, you think if you post a criticism on here, you should be fine with booing a player during a game? Or you think you those that don't agree with booing a player during a game, should never criticise a player on here?
Can’t agree with you on this at all H2. There is a huge difference. a) Players can choose not to read online comments, they can’t choose to not hear boos. b) Even if they did choose to read online, they don’t do it during a game just after they’ve tried to get their head into a good place c) Every single player could find negative comments about themselves online, not every player gets booed. d) People who boo our own players during a game are ****s
On Longman, the booing at the stadium should never happen - I think everyone is in agreement. When it comes to online criticism, comments are just opinions at the end of the day and I’m sure he will be taught to take them with a pinch of salt. It is likely that Rosenior sees a lot more in training than he is producing on match days, which is probably why he’s still here. And he is still young so will only develop. I’ve said it many times, but personally, I don’t think he is good enough yet - but I do like his intent. He looks to go forward and will not be afraid to shoot, as a winger should be. I think a loan move would do him the world of good, where he can start most games. I really want him to do well. Prove a lot of people wrong. And I’d prefer him to do that while playing for us, but we’ll see what happens.
I don't understand why supporters go out of their way to overtly criticise, if said player shows he is giving it his all. ****ers
Somebody may be giving their all but they might not be good enough It seems reasonable to point that out on this forum I dont agree with booing them though
I think he's still here because we still often find ourselves needing to play him. When we get to a point where we have 3/4 better wingers who are usually available then I'd expect him to be gone.
Yeah, our winger options are pretty slim. Allahyar, Lokilo, Vaughan and Longman are our only fit wingers. Sinik is still here but is nowhere near match fitness. If we sign another winger, I would expect Longman to go out on loan.
At this moment in time, I'd start Longman ahead of the other 4 listed! Vaughan will likely develop way beyond Longman but ATM, as excitingg a prospect he is, he is just a young kid who shouldn't be starting, and who gets cut a lot of slack. Hopefully Sinik comes back a different player. Allayhar promises a lot but delivers next to nothing. Who knows with Lokilo, another gamble. And that's all a bit concerning given the season starts this Saturday.
I respect your opinion but within minutes of coming on against Nantes Longman received the ball in a good position. Miscontrolled it and gave away a foul. Whilst admittedly raw right now Vaughan offers more
I don’t understand why you’d come to that conclusion. Longman the worst winger we have in the first-team.
Vaughan was first choice at the end of last season and we haven't got a new winger who's been here long enough to get a start, so there's absolutely no reason to think Vaughan won't start on Saturday.
That's exactly the thing. Longman makes a mistake and it's jumped on. Vaughan makes a mistake (and he makes many during a game with loose possession, poor decisions, bad passes) and it seems to go unnoticed / uncommented on. Absolutely not having a go at Vaughan, far from it. He has so much promise and I love that he seems to play without fear, a bit like KLP did when he first emerged, but trying to keep it real. IMO.
That's just nonsense. Longman makes far more mistakes because his control and passing is inferior to Vaughan's. Vaughan makes the occasional mistake, most often getting caught in possession because he can be fairly easily knocked off the ball, but he's a far better footballer than Longman.
I think you have a point about Longman. He's an easy target and people are always ready to jump on him, but really not sure about these Vaughan mistakes. Does that happen? I can't really ever recall thinking he's messed something up.
