For 35 million we should be expecting something from Rutter in a standard below the elite either that or we've truly been shafted again, if he doesn't do it at this standard we'll be lucky to get 10million .....and James is a very lucky boy that he has pace without which he's an extremely average player and is the one winger I'd lose out of the bunch we have if one has to go...they need to both contribute big time

In fairness to James he scored a beauty today if the lump hadn’t been in the way ten yards offside

 

I'd say it's almost a certainty that both Dan James & Rutter will indeed contibute big time this season.

We saw today how relegation could benefit some of our younger players.

Archie Gray might struggle in the PL but looks the real deal at a lower level.

Struijk, Hjelde, Poveda and Joseph were all extremely comfortable as well. Then what about Meslier who might also benefit massively from a good season in a winning side ?

Also we have Summerville & Gnonto, who whilst doing reasonably well last season need to show they can hack it week in and week out whilst hopefully getting a promotion on their CV's.

 

Nothings certain in life bar death ....I said they need to contribute big time and I hope they will, as stated 35 million on ruts will be staggering if he can't do it at this level, prospect time is up whether we like it or not...as for Danny he's played at premier level enough to surely be able to not only roast championship standard defences but start giving a finished end product which he doesn't do enough of,sacko also had pace to burn but usually did naff all with it

 

On Archie Gray. I think he is great but he's 17. It's not really fair to play 46 games at 17. We need someone to take the heat off him.

 

True. I think this contributed to Sam Byram’s injury problems. Seem to remember him being overplayed when he first broke into the first team.

Yes that's correct and it happened right at the end of his break through season.

 

He seems real quality and lets be honest, we’re only really successful with a Gray in the team.

 

Archie should be playing 10-20 games this season maximum.

 

Think he can manage a bit more than that (hopefully)

 

I'm talking in the starting line up. 10-20 full games. The rest off the bench.

 

I'd say around 50% but that depends on the minutes per game as well.

Looks like he'll be starting next Sunday anyway.
