I love how that when it's stated that they couldn't shoot it down he replies that it's a problem. FFS why has it got to be shot down?

    .
How else can we lock the aliens up and tell them that we want peaceful coexistence if we can't shoot them down? We need to shoot them down so we can talk to them and let them know how peaceful we are.

I don't know, not something that I've ever explored in way of thought, we are something of a selfish species that thinks everything revolves around us. It could be something like being an ant, then suddenly finding a human stamping on you. I suppose I've never explored the possibility simply because I don't believe in aliens, well not in the way that we imagine aliens.

There could be a greater something, more likely is but that's not saying it's aliens or even a god or anything related to religion. If you explore something say like protons or atoms, then take the size of one up to the scale of the observable universe, what's to say there isn't something a million times bigger outside of that - multi universes, sadly whatever it is, it could be greater than human brain can even contemplate.

I could also be completely wrong, I struggle with the understanding of religion, simply because we seem to put ourselves as some great being, then we create Jesus, another human being. We pray in times of trouble, because we don't know what else to do, how would we feel if we knew our praying was pointless and is only a self reassuring mechanism.

However, I believe in fate, why not it's no crazier than religion, fate is a chain of events, a sequence in time, but who for, what planned it, is the past and future already known and everything is the present...I can see god looking through the window again, it's even raining outside, should I start building an Ark.

I'll go and have a lay down now, before I drown in a sea of words.

I think there’s a place for spirituality in the scenario where Aliens are part of our world view, but I think the monotheistic religions would struggle to make their texts relevant in the face of it.

They could of course just say that God created the whole universe and everything in it and go with that. But the idea that God created man in his own image would be implausible.

I like that you’ve referred to the concept of attempting to comprehend something that may be out of our current ability to conceptualise. Our current understanding of the cosmos is based in huge part on theoretical physics, but there are increasing observations that do not fit any paradigm that we have, and thus you have to conclude that there is vastly more out there that we do not understand.

It’s like the analogy - imagine trying to explain the internet to Ghengis Khan …. It would be a concept beyond his ability to comprehend, yet we know that it exists.

There is stuff we know, stuff we don’t know, stuff we know we don’t know and stuff we don’t even know that we don’t know.

or to contextualise it again… as David Grusch paraphrased Donald’s Rumsfeld’s quote ‘Unknown unknowns’

I Know which is why I posted it

Whenever you joke about the Lizard Royal Family it is wasted because we are all evolved lizards

The part of our brain that controls sleep, hunger and flee or fight is the part of our brain that is still known as our Lizard Brain

We have a lot to thank the Ancient Aliens for in regard to our current state of evolution but we still retain the basic desire to want to fight rather than negotiate

Putin and Hitler being perfect examples of this
