Newcastle fans expectations are far too low in regards to left back and cb. Seriously they're now in the champions league and people are saying it's OK we've still got Paul Dummett ffs.
We don't have a single PL standard left back. Burn is a disaster, Targett is injury prone and Dummett is just awful
They're just bog standard and newcastle are in the champions league. I refuse to believe the club thinks they don't need a good player there.
The Club will want better but the Club also knows the importance of remaining within FFP rules. I’m guessing but I figure it is more to do with reducing the wage bill ratio to turnover. Buy better players and one to one you will be paying higher wages. It’s not rocket science, honestly.
But no doubt the Ponytail prefers a real grafter like Hendrick. Can’t wait for the 15 seconds highlight reel when Hendrick goes.
You’re right, it’s not rocket science. However is £30m on a back up right back when we currently have a top right back and an ok back up and a good prospect in that position necessary if we need a left back and a centre back in first choice positions?
Except we don’t know the Club’s order of preference nor do we know any inside information about individual players and their fitness. I can’t see we have made many mistakes under the New Crew and I’m quite happy, for now, to continue trusting their judgment.
