Not sure how I feel about Broad announcing his retirement mid match. Makes the rest of the game about him a bit, and it isn’t.

Or the crowd get behind him unbelievably every time he bowls, and inspires him to decimate the Aussies ! I'd take that

Only seen the highlights but looks like we've been totally outplayed. Poor captaincy by Cummins and poor bowling as a group from Australia. Excellent aggressive batting by England.
Well done to Broad on a brilliant career.

****ing hell the weather forecast has just turned apocalyptic, from about the moment I get there. Bars will do good business.

We Aussies were only too happy to acknowledge his efforts. They don;t come along too often.
    Same goes for James Anderson.

"As Broad walked down the steps of the Bedser Stand he was greeted with a guard of honour from Australian players with whom he has locked horns so often in a career that has been defined by his success in the heat of many an Ashes battle."

Big ask to get 10 wickets on a lifeless pitch.....

Aussies slight favourites..... but biggest run chase at the oval is only 260 odd.... so they have to go way beyond that....

    C'mon lads one last effort....

Can Broad find 1 last great spell ? Ali and Wood are key but neither are fit, usually pace and spin do the rick on the last day at the Oval. Maybe Root could bowl a few blinders and surprise them. Come on England find something

Huge appeal for lbw against Khawaja from Woakes. Mr clueless gives it not out. Correctly this time as it pitched outside leg. Alot more for the bowlers this morning. We desperately need some early wickets

Broad beats Khawajas outside edge again. We need to catch the edges
