I hope so mate. That would be a statement signing. Then we just need rid of about 3 or 4 wingers to fund it (and a left back and a midfielder. )
Yeah, I get that. 2 would be better. For me it depends on what Tyler Adams is doing. If he stays it gives us great options. It would allow us to use Ampadu at centre half if needed as cover. If we got Hamer from Coventry who is a live wire who scores and assists then I think we could make do with Ampadu, Adams, Hamer supported by Gyabi, Gray, Greenwood and Shackleton. We really need a creative spark at 10.
Not sure about this No 10 necessity as sometimes they're all fur coat & no knickers. What we need is midfielders and wide players who score goals plus defenders who stop goals.
Mate text late last night..Piroe, with loads of smilies after, I text back, genuine or are you pissed. Text back this morning..genuine we're going in tomorrow with a fee around what they're after, smilie face.
Cantwell, Buendia types are what FARKE uses to win promotion playing with a consistent striker, not sure he knows how to go with a false 9 because besides Bamford we don’t have a striker and with Bamford we don’t have a striker. Man City went a season without a striker and got goals from out wide via Sterling, Foden, Mharez, Grealish backed up by AMs. FARKE would have to change his style completley
Well reading around, lots of stories with regard Piroe. Swansea now want £20m. Piroe wants to join his old boss at Soton. Swansea don't want to deal with Soton, over the compensation issue with regard old boss Russell Martin. It's a 2 way battle between Leeds and Soton, Everton priced out of it. Piroe will run down his contract to join Atalanta on a free next summer. Clear as mud then.
I'm not sure any of our midfield players can "unlock the door" so to speak. I think all our wingers are very much get the ball and run at them types. You could probably make do with no playmaker if you were clinical up front or you could make do with Bamford if you had a new Pablo who'd get you 10 goals and 10 assists a season. At the moment we have neither which is a bit of a worry short term until we rectify it.
Harrison until last season always gave us the 9 or 10 goals plus assists we needed, but his form was gash mostly last term and we ain’t sure he is staying with us this season. He could be as effective as Sinisterra if he was to stay, especially in this league
1. Too much money for a man in the last year of his contract. 2. Sounds like he doesn’t want to join us. So a no from me.
That depends if any of it is true though, most of it sounds like made up ****e tbh. I believe the issue between the 2 clubs is the initial fee, they want big fee plus a few add ons, we want to give them an initial lower fee but with bigger add ons. But apparently we're talking so who knows
Another story doing the rounds is we've got fed up with Liverpool over the Nat Phillips transfer, we're not paying what they want. So have turned our attention to this lad. Apparently though a few PL clubs are interested, so probably a no go. Or could we be using him to get the Phillips price down to what we want to pay.
Hope that's true as I was reading today he has no intention of joining, he is aware of the interest but wants to see his contract out and leave for free to Italy next season
Harwood Bellis, Cresswell and Colwell are the 3 England U21s competing for places. Harwood Bellis will probably be sold to Burnley or West Ham. For some reason I can’t see HB and Cresswell lining up together that would be 2 kids in central defence. Unless we are selling Cresswell. Would love it if we did but can’t see it. Transfermkt have HB valued at £25m so again not for us and why would City sell for £15m
