It's a slight concern when Gareth bangs on about 'us having to be a team hard to beat'. How about a team that tries to win, it's like he expects to lose but we have to make it more difficult to be beaten. He's probably right of course. Did we manage to beat our average of one shot on target yesterday?
Well the Oxford match, as the final pre-season match, was a reality check of where we are. Certainly “hard to beat” does not instantly come to mind. Did we play with our theoretical 1st team for next week’s match at Watford? I sincerely hope that the answer may be “no”, but I doubt it.
I think we better hope that somehow there are 3 ****tier teams in the league or we are truly ****ed, having said that a few wins could build the confidence we need to survive, we’ll know more after game 10 ………….. So let’s stay calm and get behind them to start with, rather than bring them down !! Remember we are QPR we don’t do simple
I think someone on here mused recently about Clive's QPR obsession, his report from yesterday's debacle gives some of the background to that. **** me we are in big trouble though. We know the mindset of this group is highly suspect even with mental weak links like Dickie gone but bar Begovic yesterday was still the same players. This team not so much crumbles in the face of adversity as completely dissolves but we also don't have anywhere near enough players who actually care, I bet this is why Chris Martin is umming and ahhhing about signing again (his own ability/mobility aside) he knows the attitude here sucks. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/60526/chekhovs-winter--awaydays
Once the fans start kicking back he’s really deep in trouble. Didn’t sound like they held back yesterday.
sadly the whole club is mismanaged. My brother spent half hour on the phone to get Ipswich tickets for a fiend coming over from America. Gave up as there was no indication of where he was in the queue. A club our size and they make it hard as possible for us supporters
In brief summary: We’ve no defence and have let Barbet and Dickie go for next to nothing in the past year or so. There’s no money (or no ability to spend any), no attack, no depth, poor management, at it seems, every level of the club and we are losing £20M plus a season. I think we need more than a fresh training ground to attract decent players and youngsters. We are seeking fresh investment but frankly who in their right mind would invest? There is just no commercial sense in doing so. Adding a preseason tonking by a lower league team handed to our strongest eleven, leaves only the seriously delusional with anything but absolutely zero expectations for the season. At the moment, I would consider it a triumph if we do not beat last seasons’ home losses record.
Don't forget though, you should be hyped up and eager for the forthcoming season. If not, you may not be a qpr supporter.
Think you may need to seek medical help if you're getting excited about the ****show that's gonna unfold this season
Any Hoops matches I watch this season will be accompnied by copious amounts of alcohol and the Benny Hill theme on repeat
“Jay-Z could make an incredible move to buy Tottenham if Joe Lewis is convicted of insider trading.” Maybe if that doesn’t work out he should buy QPR..
A fiend coming over from America ! Jeez, is he coming over to assassinate the manager, the players or the board ?
