It's fairly common, maybe you just don't know anyone that had it badly. My mum did, and said yesterday that it was one of the most painful experiences of her life, inc giving birth, and she was skinny and her first was a breach birth.

 

I’d prefer chicken pox compared to giving birth to a baby with a head like a growers championship winning cabbage……poor woman I feel her pain
