The other perspective of course is that it is reassuring to think that PSG consider him a suitable replacement for Mbappe

I really like what I’ve seen from the videos. I was very sceptical at first but gradually shifted toward having in over even someone like Kane who will be 30 and would want a huge payday.

£20m offer for Maguire is just stupid from West Ham.

Apparently, Adidas has given the go ahead for Greenwood to play for the team. This matches my observation that it appears that the club is open to having him back in the team which has immediate implications on summer transfer plans.

If I understand the situation correctly the female at the centre of these allegations was/is his girlfriend and it was her retraction that forced the hand of the CPS to withdrawing the charges against Greenwood. I'm sure I read recently that Greenwood and this same girlfriend have just welcomed their first child together and I believe it is that 'normalisation' of their relationship that takes considerable sting out of the situation and has allowed scope for discussion about a possible return. Whether the club would go so far as to reintegrate him into the first team straight away is quite another matter.

Everything iv'e read says £64m + £8m in add ons.
If it reaches £72m then he has done what is required.

If we get Amrabat as well I'll be happy with this transfer window.

Always other positions we could strengthen in like RB and CB but the strength in depth we've added in midfield and attack more than makes up for it.

£100 million according to (some bloke on) Twitter.

After Kane rejected us, of course.

Our fees all include add ons like they're part of the guaranteed fee. No other club has this bollox.

Read several places quoting €70m basic, that's Euros. Unless the exchange rate works in reverse for Man Utd, fck knows how that becomes £72m in sterling!

At £72m for a 20 year old, of course its a punt, but obviously a very thoroughly researched and analysed punt. For once we are buying future value instead of top dollar for Kane who is ten years older, has little or no resale value and who's wage demands would have completely destabilised the wage structure at the club and impacted our liabilities under FFP for the next few years. Hojlund on the other hand gives us , potentially, a striker to mould and develop and, ultimately, sell on for a profit - unheard of I know.

I doubt that the fee is £72m. I think the media likes to bloat transfer fee paid by United to get another story of spending. I’ve seen outlets here report it as $77m which is a £60m deal and in line with what had been about in the past few weeks.

I agree that this represents better value than simply putting all the money into Kane who would be looking at £500k per week and no resale value. Great that we drew a line in the sand there. His absolute best is likely in the post too.

All in all, this kid looks to have great potential and if he can get high teens in number of goals in the first season, then it would be good value for the club.

I think it's safe to say (yet again) after the performance last night that Maguire and Lindelof should never play together for United if it can be helped!

Imagine, one minute you are cock of the north, the club captain of Manchester United, the next you have Onana heading your way with a bollocking in front of the the watching world.
