Vinagre looked a class above what we've had at left back despite a clear bit of rustiness.

 

Finally a bit of quality in the final 3rd.
Easy to understand players won't go 100% in these friendlies, but surely it's reasonable to expect to see regular flashes of attacking quality like that in these games, especially when we've been playing lower division sides....but we haven't.

 

City switched off at the back and ripped apart by Nantes 1-1

We're still saying "whatever it is" and that there's been zero sign of improvement.

 

He's come from the Turkish League so he'll need six months, at least.

 

1-1 , so City finish the pre-season undefeated.

 

I thought there was a bit of an improvement, we seemed to stretch and switch the play much more than we did previously but it's hard to tell how much it was down to Nantes allowing us to play. All in all a decent run out and it looks like we didn't pick up any injuries. Lokilo looks like he could be a bit of a steal.

 

Better second half, Slater again pick of the bunch, though Greaves and Jones are playing well. Vinagre looks as good signing, he will get better, Tufa also looks sharp.
