Just watched the highlights of yesterday, brilliant batting day for England. They seem to have found a way of playing this attacking style and for the most part keeping the ball on the ground. Sad to hear Broady is retiring, still has a couple of years left in him I guess, but can understand why he has decided now to call it a day. I just hope we can bowl the Aussies out, as we at least deserve to draw the series.
Warner and Khawaja look like they could bat forever, that and the odd rain stoppage it could be curtains for us. I can't see where the spark for us might come from.
I’ve been watching on and off today but saw Root get belted for successive fours as the Aussies cruised along. I was then a bit surprised to see Woakes coming on to bowl his 5th over with the Aussies already 100 plus for no wicket. His economy rate for his first 4 overs was 1.25 !!! I find that a bit strange.
