Charles at CB again is disappointing considering we’ve heard we bought him as a DM. A lot of issues with our squad still to be sorted.
I suspect it is, with Bednarek coming back in at CB. Charles or Smallbone with JWP, or the pair of them together if something starts moving for Prowsey.
One position I'd like sorter is that LW, Edozie is decent. But I wonder if Kamaldeen is the option, or whether they are waiting go sell him before bringing I Piroe(or another)
We were in Alkmaar last Saturday for a friend's birthday, passed the stadium hope the fixture is reversed next year. Nice place with an extensive Oude Centrum with any number of bars and restaurants to enjoy.
Quite surprised to see the line up as I am not convinced many of those player will remain here after the window closes. Does selecting them underscope the intention to retain those players who are being sought by other clubs and ensure that we do not play our hand too soon ? I think we will play our strongest team until the point that the better players have moved on. The line up will look very different after September and I think we will ultimately do well if we retain any of the better players.
Intriguing choice to play Lavia in midfield and not Charles in the position I assume we signed him for if the former will be off. Perhaps the move is no way near as clear as mooted and he will be expected to start the championship season. I don’t see it personally
Adam Armstrong can presumably cry with happiness that we’re playing incisive, fast through balls on the grass for him
