Whenever I hear or read the name Alan Hansen, I think what a Muppet. Then I remember, that was Jim Hensen. please log in to view this image
I know it’s only Twitter but the United fan consensus seems to be that they have pulled another “bid 50% of the expected fee as an opening gambit” Although 40m might be over valuing him. There is a player there but he doesn’t fit the current team he plays for
I agree he’s not an £80m player (never was) but he’s certainly worth more than £20m……maybe £35-£40m bracket.
Trialist indicates we are letting him go you would think? Rather than a loan, plus Horseman would know his abilities so if wanted to loan him wouldn’t bother with a trial
Not necessarily. Few of our youngsters have had trials elsewhere before a loan move. Kegs Chauke had a trial at Exeter last summer, before joining them on a season loan. Jack Turner also had a trial at Leyton Orient with a view to a loan move (although it never came off) Though you'd imagine Simeus time here is up. In the final year of his contract and, despite being older and more experienced after a few loans, further from the 1st team than ever.
Send him on loan then he can still have a chance to break the Premiership free kick record with us if we get promoted next season. Not going to happen though.
Simeu has posted a photo on Instagram of himself playing in a friendly at Staplewood today with the caption as '...' for what it's worth. It was Darnell Johnson who was the trialist for Forest Green today.
Ah, interesting. Guess he was just trying to show a photo of himself in Saints kit to let people know he's still here (for now)
Leeds fans were expecting to get around £40m for Tyler Adams. Turns out he has a £20m relegation release clause. Oops.
No wonder they sacked Victor Orta... he's done some horrendous business and it's crazy he had so much solo control. A good advert for why your DOF should always work in tandem with the CEO and other senior figures. He was clearly just blindly promising players and agents whatever get-out clauses they fancied because he wasn't being sensible and mitigating against potential relegation whatsoever. They've now gone down, got a massive hole in their balance sheet and aren't plugging it effectively because everyone is walking cut-price or free (or being loaned out!)
