............and the man city bench have all been given sky blue hot water bottles for their laps. Seriously, and im not over egging this, I really dont think I can relate to any modern day footballer. That pic of them with their water bottles has upset me as much as when they were going to pay Kaka £500,000 a week.

Just thought I would share. My dad, who was lucky enough to be a be a first team regular for Preston NE under Bill Shankley always told me when I was younger that money would kill the game and I thought he was mad. Turns out I reckon he might just be right.

Do you reckon, aside from pubs showing illegal games etc., could fans just not be turnning up because they are just falling out of love with the game a bit?

How do you think they would get on playing for a Sunday morning team?

The sad thing is, probably quite well. They would have just been normal people before they got involved in the game at the level they have, but now, they have developed an attitude where they are the problem.

Moody git, who has grown up being told he has the quality to be the world's greatest player. Like a kid who knows he doesnt have to try because he has a large trust fund waiting for him or something. How many 'next big thing' have we seen fail because they dont have the right attitude to go with the skill in their boots.

We often talk with nostalgia about times past somebody the other day was talking a bout the time when they`d recognise a "star" making his way to the game on public transport...I dont go that far back but there was something better I think when the working man could just about relate to the wealth in terms of double /treble quadruple salaries....but now???....and in the end an FA cup result often makes a mockery of the pay scales....And yet we still go for the con.....I wonder if we`ll wake up one day............Nah......Never!
