Morning all. Some cloud about, so the temperature is comfortable. I never enjoyed going to pre-season games, even when I watched Watford at every available opportunity. Sorry, I know the club is hard up, but I will not be contributing £5 to watch one. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Not a cloud in the sky at the moment, but some breeze about which could change things. The local campsite is busier than I can remember seeing before, suggesting that people have heeded the warnings about the heat further south. There is one very spacious tent pitched there that has multiple rooms around a central kitchen dining area. There does appear however to be a problem. It is designed for the seriously short person, being little more than a metre high. To date, when I have been past, I haven't seen if it belongs to the friends of Snow White. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Cloud cover is complete, but it is dry. Two of the holiday homes owned by English families are occupied, but the village is silent. As they are on holiday, and haven't opened the shutters yet, I have held back from starting my strimmer, but after a coffee I will be attacking some very rough areas that have ceased to be much use to the bees and other insects. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Cloud in fast move mode, driven by a brisk wind. So the Tour is over, the rain washed away the ashes, and even the tennis has concluded. With the temperature back to normal summer highs, I will be back to more gardening. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Quite a change in the weather. Cool enough last night to pull the duvet up again. Now there are very light showers. Not enough to do the parched ground much good, but maybe it will lay the dust. Mme is talking about a trip in the autumn to England. I will have a look at the fixtures before sorting out when and if we go. No doubt Sky will make a mess of it anyway. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Mainly overcast and cool for July. I am not complaining, but we really could do with a day of steady rain. Yesterday morning I had not seen reports of wildfires on mainland France, but by the evening there were videos of forests down on the south coast ablaze. TV is carrying adverts from the government about not taking BBQ's into the forests, which when you look at the parched ground, even up here, shouldn't require saying. Still reminding people cannot do any harm. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

    Hope all's well.

Dropped in a bit to see how the squad is forming.

Off to the coast till the 6th August, so going to miss the first game. Still, cannie complain!

    Have a goodun y'all.

Sad news about Sinead O'Connor - dead at 56.

A controversial character but a damned fine singer - one who should always be remembered for this response to Piers Morgan and not just for her voice -

    Certainly nothing compared to her.

Morning all. Overcast and cool again, but no rain in the forecast. Thursday, so it is the day that Mme has to play football, netball, and go on the treadmill at the Physio's clinic. He puts her through her paces, and she comes out looking worse than when she went in. Still, it seems to be working as she is now spending hours doing gardening, and trying to catch up on the "lost" year. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. There have been a few minutes of sunshine, but it is mainly overcast. Watched England ladies football team gain a rather lucky win, so now need to go and get the weekly shop sorted. Storms and rain forecast for this afternoon, so not expecting much time outside when we return. Have a good day everyone.<ok>

Raining in Montmorillon, bone dry here. One five minute shower this evening.
Have a good time and enjoy the local produce.

Haha been doing lots of that! I'm probably 70% cheese and baguette by now. It's nice to have vegetables that taste of something too...

Here for another 12 days so should hopefully see a bit of sunshine, concert in the rain tomorrow then a quiet week of working from home.

Morning all. Back from the bank after paying money into their machine yesterday, only to be told I hadn't put any in. It is difficult to get too worked up when the young lady agrees with you that their technology is rubbish. Clearly not the first time she had to deal with people on the subject, but she could assure me it only took 8-10 days to sort out. Apart from offering you a cold beer, this machine is supposed to do everything, but half the time it is out of service. Someone needs to get a grip. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

A decent day to be outside. Not too hot, but dry and a gentle breeze. The half a dozen potatoes that were shooting at the bottom of the bag were planted as an experiment. I have never had any success with proper seed ones, but I lifted them this morning, and they have done well. New potatoes for dinner tonight. :emoticon-0100-smile

The man from the météo is telling us to expect snow in the Alps this week. This is not normal for August. The tourist industry in the south of the country and Corsica is in despair over the lack of people going to spend their money because it is too hot. We live in very strange times as the jet stream has moved south of the UK. Maybe there is something to us not treating the planet with the respect due to it. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. English weather today. Overcast and breezy, with a temperature of 23°C expected. I need to chase the garage who said that they would have the part for my aircon a week ago, and I have heard nothing from them since. They appear to have too much work, so you can expect a wait before you get a date to do anything. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Sunshine and showers here. Not very seasonal, but whatever rain falls is welcome. The no name number 9 shirt is creating plenty of speculation. A goalscorer can be so expensive if he has a proven record, and even then may not get the same service he is used to, and fails. Of course, you might be lucky and pick up another Barry Endean. Certainly a one season man, who never had much success in his travels after his exploits at Watford. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. More English summer weather today. I am feeling quite sorry for those people under canvas at our local campsite. My nephews' son is in the USA where he has joined a football academy for two years, with a possible extension for a further two. Everything is paid for, so no worries there. The states used to be a rest home for players who needed to top up their pensions, but it now looks to be developing more players of a young age. Have a good day everyone. <ok>
